It's not semi anything though, that's not even how the real term is used. Semi-lag would just be half slow and then half fast (like somebody with satellite internet during a rain storm).
So why does something that slows down the frame rate be called semi-lag, instead of just lag itself? Lag just means to stagger or slow down, it doesn't matter what meaning you're using it for, it's unrelated to anything specific. It's like you were just asked a true/false question and you wrote in half-false. You wouldn't get full credit, or even half credit, it's just wrong!

See, what I'm saying is that the game speed is still normal and not wonking out when you get framerate slowdown, which is what happens with internet lag. But, I do see your point, which is that your computer can't render the frames fast enough to keep up with the game speed.

What I meant was that it is semi-lag where lag is the word "Lag", not the meaning of lag
ie: Sort of lag, but not true lag as is usually used

("Heathen" is really becoming too frequent in my posts. It's just so fun to use. I should have been around back when they burned those people for being witches.)

Yeah, but nobody cares about the lag, because that wasn't even the discussion. It wouldn't solve anything if we all agreed that lag sucks, because we never said it didn't in the first place. That's like... Why are you trying to calm everyone down? It's not like we're all pissed off and heads are flying, jeeze.

You sure about that?
But really, lag sucks, no matter what words I use to convey what I mean by "Semi-Lag"

Can't you guys shut up already or take this totally uninteresting discussion into another thread? I mean, 4 replies is okay, but filling whole pages with such a discussion is too offtopic even for me.

Topic split; have fun further debating the definition of lag here, if you want.
