Ah, cool. Thanks.

I know we've talked a lot about Jonny Craig, but I haven't seen this video posted yet. It's from his solo project, and it kicks ass.

My favorite music is all your mothers lactating quietly while they watch Leonardo deCaprio movies.

But he posted Portishead, they're awesome. =[

And I love Jonny Craig's solo album. It's mostly awesome.

They seem to have found new ways of dragging our attention.

Listen mostly to rock, specifically punk and alternative, including but not limited to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Trapt, Blink 182, Rise Against, 3 Doors Down, Hoobastank, Skillet, Switchfoot, Nirvana, Linkin Park (some of their songs, at least), The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rage Against The Machine, P.O.D., Cage The Elephant, 30 Seconds To Mars, Papa Roach, Silversun Pickups, Three Days Grace, My Chemical Romance, System Of A Down, The Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Chevelle, Anberlin, Muse, Lacuna Coil, etc.

I don't limit myself strictly to the lighter stuff, though- I also have a bit of an affinity for a fair amount of metal artists, including Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Children Of Bodom, Trivium, Dragonforce (lol'd a bit when putting this under "metal", but hey, I guess that's what it is), Orphaned Land, Slayer, Tool, Cannibal Corpse, Disturbed, In Flames, Opeth, Shadows Fall, Symphony X, Killswitch Engage, and so on.

Also listen to some of the older stuff- Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmi Hendrix, Guns 'n Roses, Michael Jackson, etc- but not as extensively.

Just a few favorites, don't want to list examples for every band I threw up. If you haven't heard of some of the aforementioned bands, then Google 'em or do a search on YouTube or something.

Rise Against - Savior

30 Seconds To Mars - This Is War

Muse - Resistance

Trivium - A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation

EDIT - Originally listed "The Smashing Pumpkins" as "The Smacking Pumpkins". Cannot stop laughing now.

Yes, I obviously do. Otherwise I would have just went "Ugh @ Muse" rathehr than getting into specifics, wouldn't I?

I didn't comment on any of the other ones because there wasn't anything particularly interesting or noteworthy or that I hadn't heard of. I could have picked a bone with Trivium or 30 Seconds To Mars but Muse - Resistance is all I deemed revolting enough to offend my very being. After all that they've released before that, how could you like that album, especially that song? It's so godawfully cheesy and shit. I cringe at the very sound of it. Showbiz, yes, Origin Of Symmetry, yes, Absolution, yes, Black Holes And Revelations, yes, but THE RESISTANCE? It's like they threw on a couple of records by Rage Against The Machine and Spandau Ballet and whacked off and their semen became the contents of an album. Cheesy quasi-political lyrics and awful music.

To be honest, I hadn't even heard of Muse before Resistance and Uprising started coming on the radio, so I guess I don't hold them up to the same standards as someone who thinks they had way better songs before The Resistance came out. I'll definitely have to check out the albums you mentioned, though, since you seem to hold them in much higher esteem than The Resistance.

I'm also a bit ignorant when it comes to 30 Seconds To Mars- the only songs I've heard from them is a few singles ie This Is War, Kings And Queens, and The Kill, all of which I like. I haven't really ever bothered to listen to any of their other songs.

Rather silly, I know, but that's how it is. Unless I absolutely fall in love with an artist from one song I hear, I rarely look up their other works (assuming nobody directly refers me to one).
