That's pretty funny, but in a complex way, and it's hard to tell if it was intentional, or sequential spelling/spellcheck errors.

A) Either C intentionally misinterpreted NickD's reference to "Opra" (which obviously was supposed to be "Oprah) as "Opera," which is where the fat lady reference comes from; or

B) C also was referring to Oprah, but his spellchecker made it come out "Opera," but it's still funny 'cuz sometimes Oprah is a fat lady.

I'm gonna give C the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant to make a multi-leveled joke on purpose. Good on you, C.

But, what if he meant copra? Even worse, what if he meant it as in copraphage!?

PS: I think Opera does kick ass. I sometimes listen while playing Lugaru. There's nothing like a Death From Above on Level 10 while listening to the Flight of the Valkyries.

Well, it's a bit hard to answer that. We could discuss differing tastes in various types of entertainment, or the philosophical definition of "quality," or the impact of paradigm shifts in culture, but first we need to ask an essential question: "What in the ever-lovin' blue-eyed world are you talking about!?!" Or, as T would say,
Image

We now have four different spelling for a word, and we still aren't sure what it refers to: opra, opera, oprah, and now operah.

Two are actual words; the other two can be found online, but one only as an acronym (I don't think you were were referring to the Open Public Records Act, or the Options Reporting Price Authority).

So: are we talking about a drama set to music, or one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the United States, currently involved in many business ventures, but most identified with her massively popular and eponymous talk show, who also is a sometimes fat African-American lady?

Can we end this Descuson before we have to call in the most successful entrepreneurs in the United States, currently involved in many business ventures, but most identified with her massively popular and eponymous talk show, who also is a sometimes fat African-American lady to come sing! :P
