W-what's wrong with necro'ing this thread?
Like, it's completely fine to specifically necro this thread 'cause there's still more stuff people can post, so uhh…

Yeah, this is fine, adding new content is not the bad kind of necro.
Unless of course it is gay furry porn or other rule-breaking content.

That desktop is pretty sweet by the way.

I don't really know if any of you know how much of a Gorillaz fanboy I am.
And to add to that, I love the people who are behind Gorillaz, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett.
I've listened to every album that Damon has made at least five times.

I have principles. Just because you unwashed heathens don't doesn't mean I have to stoop so low as justifying such a crime against god.

I'm using Rainmeter Honeycomb for the three icons on the bottom right, and I edited the desktop wallpaper to have a white part on the bottom to keep my taskbar white.
I then custom set my taskbar icons by right clicking on them and setting them to Token Black icons.
If anyone wants the standalone wallpaper, I can link it here.
I got the Taskbar icons by downloading a software called 7CONIFIER, and in the preset packages there's Token Black (all the icons I use). 7CONIFIER itself doesn't work because I use Windows 8.1 (and not to mention Start8)

Those icons are sexy.

Current desktop is organized, thankfully. Sometimes I lapse and it gets cluttered.

Yeah you definitely need a Rainmeter on that.

I have tried to use a mostly empty desktop once.

It looked nice.

It got annoying quickly.

I now have a full desktop again.

The only desktop tools I use are stuff like Fences or Nimi Places (Fences is better, but Nimi is free) that let's me put even more stuff up there, but in visual, scrollable folders, to keep it organized and prevent it from overflowing.

Thanks man, that is motivating me to start modifying my desktop and such the user interface with some rain metering and custom icons
