The High School Topic

Since this got brought up in the Holdays thread, but I didn't want to take it too off topic, I figured I'd make a thread about your high schools since there seem to be a fair number of high schoolers and high school grads in the forums.
Tell and brag (if you can) away about your pre-collegiate education.
I, personally, am studying in East Chapel Hill High of Chapel Hill, NC. It's ranked 38th in
Jay Mathews' Top 100 Best Schools. It was also highly ranked in a recent edition of
The Wall Street Journal (unfortunately I can't find a source). Also notable,
a student held a teacher and another student at shotgun-point last year and shot out a window with it.
Outdo me if you can.

The only thing different about my high school is that everyone
has to play a sport, or else they'll be ostracized. As a result, we're ranked #1 in swimming in our division, #2 in volleyball in the state, and a couple wrestlers are #1 as well in their divisions.
It sucks, cause I tried swimming, and I liked the swimming but I hated the coach.

I played around in Hypercard for a few years back in elementary school, and uploaded a few small games to Keyword "Mac Games" on AOL; I think they are gone now. Then I started messing around using FutureBASIC and made a few more small games like FirePong and Sword, and many unreleased ones. I learned C++ and OpenGL from the tutorials at nehe.gamedev.net, and wrote GLFighters, Lightning's Shadow, and Lugaru, as well as some projects that never went anywhere such as Phantom Strike, GlFighters 2 and Soul of Steel.
This was all extracurricular; I basically just had more fun trying to construct new games than I had playing existing ones, so I spent most of my time working on various game projects through trial and error.

While in Middle School...I made a really, really, short, and rather strange "RPG" using Hypercard, Poser, and Photoshop...it wasn't really an RPG since the objective was to click-repeatedly on progressively harder enemies before you lost all your health...
As for high school...lets see:
I went to a private school from 6th-10th grade then I moved and went to a public school from 11th-12th grade...what's funny is that my GPA rose 2 points when I moved...LOL

I'm in 11th grade, and my school is filled with hippies.

Most people in my age are all the same, or act the same way.
I want to be in a school where people are more different and/or open-minded
Why don't you go tell some of your hippies to come over here
