I just had a thought... The Ring grows and Shrinks to fit the possessor... what if a Giant got hold of the ring and then dropped it over a person, and considered them the possessor?

I think of people in the same way, I associate people's personalities with their avatars. I therefore think of you as a turkey-parrot-hybrid of some sort. Either that or a vulture. And I think of Colicedus as Duke Nukem.

I don't - however - think of these people as actually being those things. (Well, maybe not Colicedus, he's at the very least Duke's son, or brother or something. Except maybe without the giant muscles. …Uh… I hope…
