A process engineer at a electronic components manufacturing plant. I start on the 13th



It pays kinda bad for a mechanical engineering degree and apparently there is a bunch of international travel that I might have to do as well.



I've had more employers contact me after I have taken this job last week than in the last month.

It's like all of a sudden they realize they're not going to find an engineer that takes an entry level position that already has 2+ years of experience in their particular field. Or maybe they're waiting a bit for the college graduates to get a little bit desperate so they can offer less money.

The biggest problem I have now is that I can't find a place. Rental properties are in high demand I guess. I searched the entire town (and outside of town) yesterday and could only find two places within a reasonable distance.

One had a coin operated washer and dryer *inside* the apartment. Apparently your landlord just comes in whenever and empties it. It also had this wicked looking 70's carpet.

The other was OK (well actually pretty great in terms of quality), but kinda expensive and really fucking large. It was an entire house. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, basement, and garage. It also had the creepiest fucking basement I've ever seen. It was basically a dungeon minus the bars and chains. Not that it being creepy bothers me, but if you ever brought someone down there they would instantly think you're going to rape them. The garage was just a single car garage without electricity, so not much room for fun car activities, but it looked in decent enough shape that I wouldn't be afraid to park my car in it. Oh, and the landlord works at the same company I do ... and I would be kinda ... working above him ;/
