Christ, you guys have given me warnings for less.
I dunno, maybe... I think making a joke for simple matters is better than slamming the law down.

I have the same opinion as Chazfox, there was nothing really wrong here. This wasn't what I call harsh.

Personally, I don't mind leetspeak unless it takes me longer to read it than a normally spelled sentence. When I have to break out my brain's 1337-decoder to read a sentence, that gets annoying.

Unfortunately, 99% of leetspeak is harder to read than normal words.

It always takes longer, and it serves no purpose.
Why are you talking about "leetspeak" anyway?
That's not what vnix or whatever person did.

What's the origin of "txt-talk" anyway?

Translation of what rudel_ic wrote:Text messages.
At least that's how it's always said around here.

There is a severe lack of relevance in that. We're talking about txt-talk, not leetspeak.

I wasn't trying to give orders. I was providing an example of what I think you should have done. If, however, giving my opinion on something makes me the bad guy, so be it.

Renegade, he has no grasp of some of the most basic grammatical rules of English and is an incompetent speller. He's beneath us all. Why do you care about him?

Your calling V-nix beneath you? Have you seen his art? Or his pivot animations? Or even some of his story ideas? The only flaw of V-nix is the typing. But that is just because this is the first forum that I know of that he's been on.

Either that or he's had a cellphone nearly all his life. Or both.

I agree that he has serious talent. This is proof that txt-talk and it's associated lack of grammatical comprehensibility makes people seem less than what they are.

Well I haven't seen his art/pivots/story ideas but now you have me interested :) and again, V-nix has improved his spelling (a little mistake here and there but nothing like what he used to talk like, so that's good with me ^^) so I'm wondering why the hell we're still arguing about his spelling. Let him state his cause and let the admins hear him out, I say.

Sorry for the near double post, but I forgot to say that I didn't know that txt-talk was actually a real term.
