I am a PC user, but not a PC lover. Games are the only reason I'm stuck with the PC since to be honest I don't think they have Half Life 2/Garry's Mod 10 for macs :3 Nevertheless I still hate my PC with its constant crashing and BSODs, so I enjoyed that second video :3

I enjoy both Windows and Mac.
And I don't like it when people does not respect the OSs and make fun of them, despite both being quite good. I enjoy HUMOURISTIC spoofs like the "I'm on crack" triology though =D (Check them out on youtube or something)

Actually I'm beginning to become quite interested in making the switch to Mac XD Lugaru runs on Mac, and quite a few of my other favourite games do too, so maybe making the switch won't be as problematic as I thought.

Plus, I want to give Bill Gates a severe kicking for making such a flawed system. Why the hell did he put the BSOD in there anyway!? I've been looking at the Mac site and am actually kind of interested, especially after their claim that their system doesn't crash

Can the Mac users attest to that for me please?

Also, it appears that Macs can still run Windows XP/Vista (If I use the likes of Parallels), which means that any Windows only games will still be playable for me

Now I don't really have any reason not to switch to Mac :3

I agree with Nuky. I don't really understand the concept of "switching". You don't have to pledge your loyalty to a brand. It completely boggles my mind when people get super defensive about their type of computer, even more so after Apple switched to Intel chips.

What is your budget and what do you want to do with your computer?

My Mac crashes about as much as my PC, which is never. If you routinely get BSODs your computer is most definitely messed up.

Well not the usual Fatal Error; Pound Keypad and Scream Profanities BSODs, I get a BSOD that seems to be specific to Windows XP systems, known as Stop Errors. I suppose I'm partly to blame for running an underpowered PC, but Packard Bell are to blame for that fault, since their towercase is too damn narrow to fit in a new 600W power supply I bought.

I'm not exactly pledging loyalty to any brand either, I stick with windows as a form of computer game playing, but my system crashes too damn much and it would cost a fortune to upgrade the Motherboard, Processor, RAM and buy a new graphics card (I'm running a 512MB card at the moment, trouble is it's AGP :3), and it'd certainly be too much to buy a new state of the art PC (with Vista, since Microsoft are forcing everyone to use Vista (and pay monthly!) to play certain games online. When there's a choice between that and a 17 inch iMac with 1GB RAM (same as I have now), a Core 2 Duo processor and a decent ATi graphics card for £800, my money'd be on the Mac. Of course I won't leave Windows XP entirely either, I'll probably be using Parallels to bring together the best of both systems ^_^

Your computer won't crash if the components are too slow... they can only cause it to crash if they are overheating or broken or something. You could always try erasing everything and reinstalling the OS. Almost all Windows (or Mac) problems I see are caused by installing too much random stuff.

What if I'm running a graphics card meant for a 400W power supply on a 210W? Again, Packard bell are such cheapskates that they only put a 210 in there instead of a decent power supply. Then they went and made it smaller than the conventional ones so that I couldn't fit in a new one. When I tried the new power supply I had to keep it propped up and in line with the rest of the system (long story). Unfortunately the components kept overheating (due to the supply not being inside the system so its fans could cool off the innards) and my system regularly froze. Didn't crash, just froze up.

As for the uninstalling and restarting, I've already done a "Destructive Reset" once. Though I will agree I have too much junk on my system.

It's true, an insufficient power supply will also cause crashes. Those are all hardware issues though; they have nothing to do with Windows.
