I don't see what the exclamation is for. What did I say?
And I'm 17.
If you didn't catch the irony in what I said, I don't really mean that 6-year-olds being raped is a good thing.
The fact you even posed the question like that was idiotic.
"raping 6 year olds....good or bad. Discuss"
It's obviously bad. I hope to god you weren't serious.

I turn my back for five minutes and suddenly you're all talking zombies?!
I'll round up my views on this (incase they haven't been made fairly clear); violence is utterly unacceptable.
Given that people are violent however, I do support defence of ones self and of others that are clearly not aggressors themselves (if you start a fight you finish it on your own).
I doubt I am truely capable of killing anyone, but I know that I would want to kill anyone who assaulted me with serious intent to harm me.
In terms of computer games, I think we need to see the genuine social effects of miscreant behaviour - and also more positive effects of acceptable behavior.
Ideally it needs to be more involved that a simple like/dislike (or worse: a good/evil) slider.
Thats why I'm looking forward to The Witcher so much
And children are generally abused by most cultures to some degree or another. What you have to realise is that much of what we do to children as normal social development would not be acceptable for an adult.
Now thats not necessarly bad, but it is worth thinking about; children are seen as inferior. Thats why most people get a protective instinct towards them and thats why childs deaths are seen as more tragic.
Edit:
nerodx: "pleasure" (by which I assume you mean sex, alcohol or a combination; but most likely sex) does not give your life meaning. Nor does not having it make your life less meaningful.
Unless you govern the value of life purely on Darwinistic values of procreation and survival of genetics (an idea most humans find abhorant) there is much, much more to life than that.
I can't comment so much on alcohol. I don't drink.

bout time someone understood that!
I'm not saying it's everything, but you guys STILL do have that. Not just that either, you guys can like vote, get married, and call those television ads on the tv without a parent (HATE THAT!) Yeah we are looked at as inferior and weaker, but if something happened such as(goin back to zombies!) zombies start killing everyone....in 2012....on december 12th.......I would want to be there to help, not just hide in some house or something.

Violence: Bad.
Violence on TV: unless it's real, fine.
Violence in games: Not a problem.
that guy who blames the Virginia shooting on video games: clearly insane.
If anything, video games have made me a better person! If not for video games I would be extremely dull and boring and type like this- "Z0MG I WINZOOR LOL OMG HAHA LOL!!!!11!!!1eleven!11"2""!!!"

It is actually quite easy to kill some one, Especially absentmindedly.GaGrin wrote: doubt I am truely capable of killing anyone, but I know that I would want to kill anyone who assaulted me with serious intent to harm me.
Its rather hard the first time you kill anything, you even at times start viewing yourself as a monster. But if you keep up the flow of killing, like one of my friends did for his career, it can be addictive.
I don't think anyone would shit around and let a army of zombis take over, I think we would all fight back...nerodx wrote:(goin back to zombies!) zombies start killing everyone....in 2012....on december 12th.......I would want to be there to help, not just hide in some house or something.

no, knowing adults like i do you would be telling me to hide under a desk just like if we get nuked........and video games have helped me with aiming and stuff. I shoot BB guns at targets when I go to my Grandfathers house and I usually do much better then everyone else. Other then that the only time I used a real gun was at his house and shot a washing machine about 50 yards away(I dont know!). So I think I wont do horrible when the Mayan Zombies attack thanks to video games....and for all the adults who think that video games are evil and are making everyone who plays them crazy and evil....go...go to hell....
Y'know its shit-talking like this that gives gamers a bad name...Colicedus wrote:It is actually quite easy to kill some one, Especially absentmindedly.

Just stop a moment and look at what you're saying. Now consider that people are worried that games/films/music are desensitising children to violence and crime.
See the issue yet?
But hey, if thats your view I'm not going to argue - I just want to point out that its that kind of talk that makes gamers seem disaffected.
And honestly, yes, I expect if you did kill for a living it would get easier. But I personally would find it very hard to justify my actions to myself unless the threat was both immeadiate and directed towards me.
We aren't all super special snowflakes of uniqueness, but there is just something hideous about letting killing be a justifiable action in pretty much any circumstance.
It just makes me uncomfortable thinking about it.
