I assumed that you wanted to build stuff yourself (as you always do), so Prototype is probably a better starting point than Scriptaculous.
Well, if you're aiming higher, you're aiming higher. I probably don't have the kind of experience you asked for anyway if it's such a leap from existing solutions to your target features..

So you want draggable, resizable, floating dynamic picture frames. What else do you need to realize your ideas? I'm just asking out of curiosity.

I don't really want to post the idea publicly, because the concept is one of those things where you're like "why didn't I think of that?" and someone could beat me to the punch. If you talk to me on AIM or something, I could tell you privately though.

But in terms of Javascript, I need a Google maps kind of interface (hence the draggable resizable array of images), an auto completing toolbar like the search on Apple.com, and some other stuff.

The toolbar is definitely doable, but I'd code it from ground up. I don't think there's some neat toolkit for stuff like that.

The maps thing.. Tough job, I'd say. I could make an UML diagram for that, but the implementation is something I wouldn't expect to be an easy job.
