What did you miss? Well, check out this thread: 17 replies to your "I'm back, what did I miss," message; one of them a "Welcome back" message (mine); two "I joined while you were gone! Me! Me! Me!" messages; seven messages from one poster trying to turn this thread into yet another lame flame game; one post in support of that effort; two posts from the flame target; and a bunch of mainly meaningless blather trying to masquerade as clever randomness.

Fairly typical of what the forums have become. So: are you glad you're back?

Seriously, the forums have been lacking in quality for some time now. I have to admit I was part of this. I think I'll step away from this place for some time. It's become a hateful place, and I've been playing along. That sucks.

When I first came here, I submitted some quality mapping stuff. What's become of me? This is awful.
