You think it's difficult? Where are you? Maybe you didn't level up enough early on.

I rest my case about the stupidity of FF.

haha, that and the combat system in XII got clunky and had flaws...especially flawed when controlling 5 or 6 people...was really difficult

Mario RPG (SNES), The Paper Mario series and the Mario & Luigi series deserve to be on the list. Also, Legend Of Dragoon for the PS1 needs to be on there. Noticing a pattern yet?

Here it is: They're all RPG games, but all of them incorporate an "Action Command" (Or "Addition" in LoD) system, in which you must time your button presses when attacking to increase the damage. I'm a huge fan of games that require timing, so naturally I feel that Action Commands make a game better ^^

My bad ^^; Still, Mario and Luigi (Superstar Saga and/or Partners in Time) and Dragoon should make an appearance in there. Mario and Luigi elaborated on action commands by doing double team (or even quadruple team in the case of partners in time, Cannonballer ftw!) attacks. There's a special feeling in pulling off an Lightning Bros Advanced attack and scoring a huge critical hit on one enemy :3

I only ever needed 3 people. Maybe you were just bad at it? Lol.

Never once had a problem with the control system. It was relatively straightforward and easy-to-use, yet could be complex if you wanted it to be.

This is the same with all those style of RPG's. If you don't level up you're going to suck. Doesn't mean it's a bad game.

The games were really fun and the story in them was great. I don't see why they were bad games. Give me reasons.

If I were to start picking holes in your choices of games, I would say Twilight Princess is excessively boring and that the Street Fighter games were not fun to me whatsoever. They were just mashing the keypad or repeating certain button combinations. What's good about that?

Final Fantasy's 1-7 count, and stay in the list.

Clunky, more like the game highly depended on the player to use gambits , and you think thats hard, try playing vagrant story for more then an hour And tell me that FFXII is a pain in the ass. Final Fantasy XII is much much much easier then Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics. And another thing, you don't control 6 npcs on the screen, you have babysit 3 if you got a guest in your party.

"Those style" meaning the style of RPG which involves no skill whatsoever? Power-levelling is not skill. Chrono Trigger can be completed extremely early _if_ you use proper tactics and the proper equipment. That's skill in character building, not power-levelling. Super Mario RPG can be easily completed with skill in character building, not power-levelling. Sinjid: Shadow of the Warrior, a Flash RPG, is a perfect example of an RPG which requires skill rather than levelling; you _can't_ power-level in that one. Etc, etc, etc. Games are not fun if they don't require skill.

Oh, and the stories were _not_ great. They were boring, predictable rehashes of each other.

Street Fighter requires skill, unlike the FF series. You ever seen a Street Fighter tournament? (One which outlaws the cheap characters, that is.) I'm not going to have a discussion on Twilight Princess right now, though. I've discussed the issue endlessly with OoT and MM fanboys and they've pissed me off to no end about it. Maybe by PM if you really care enough.
