Did I already say this? Oh well.

Ancient SIM games, most prominently SimCopter and Streets of SimCity.

Mental note: Buy PC and install SimCopter and Streets of SimCity on it, then start a gaming addiction worse than WoW.

Gears is not an fps and it did change the way games should look and play forever
It changed the way games looked (It set a new bar for visuals)...somewhat...but really...Gears of War is no different for any other 3rd person shooter...you just use different buttons to get things done. If you think about it, video games are reaching a stand-still in the types and variations that are produced, sure there will be great looking and high-quality titles that will be released but I haven't seen anything really fresh and really "ground-breaking" recently. Yes, there are new and interesting variations of something that's already been done before (therefore making it fun to play once again) but I have yet to see anything that really is completely and utterly innovative (definition). Not to say this is a bad thing, the quality of video games is increasing, which is good, and as long as the title is well-made it doesn't have to be ground-breaking...just an observation.

EA Skate should be played by any gamer at some point for a number of gamer achievements:
- Understanding the big deal about real skateboarding
- Getting over ridiculous telephone pole combos from the THPS series
- Learning a brilliant control scheme that gets the essence of the movement across like few other sports games
- Enjoying gorgeus animation blending and insane sound programming

It's a game that's finally achieved bringing fun back into games once you've got the controls on lock.

So, I just beat Portal.

Now THAT is a game everyone should be required to play.

A game that made my brain hurt, and made me burst out laughing numerous times.

It got me thinking: so many games take themselves so seriously. We need more games with writing like Portal has.

No, i mean really... there is so many glitches and stupid things in it.

Like the combat system and when you are in the menu and selecting a character.

This'd be another memorable quote, if I could actually quote something specific…
