OMFG!!! my mums boyfriend has a program that he installed on his computer and mine that can remote controll my pc!!!!
that means i cant look at my uh, stuff, i cant sneak down and come on the internet at night, sombody help!!

1.i need to know if i can stop it tapping into my pc
2.possibilities on what its called
3.where to download it (if i cant find it on my pc)

it was freaky when i found out
i was on msn talking to some friends when a small box came up on the top right corner but i couldnt be bothered to read it so i clicked it off, then my corsor started to move on its own, i could still move it around but if i didnt touch it, it would move on its own
i decided to see what my possessed corsor wanted to do,
it went down pressed start and opened paint
it then write the chaotic words
"ah pooooooooooooooo"
i replied "wtf"
it said " wxcvblvggdxxcbnk" or along those lines
i replied " i hate you lol"
it said "this is freaky"
i said"how you do that?"

it stoped
i only knew it was mums bf when he went on msn and told me
help!!!

Tell your mom her boyfriend is dumb.

Find out what port it uses, and block it via firewall.

This is the answer. If you don't know what port it is, use Windows' firewall to block everything and then open the ports on an application basis.

The problem with blocking all the ports is that the "spying" software (man, I love programs like that, you can do some funny stuff to people with that thing) will probably tell him he can't connect and he'll know you've blocked him and the situation will just get worse.
That program is expensive and there are multiple versions of it, as for getting the application, that won't help you any.
Or...you could just wipe your HD and then change your password and make it so that you have to login to get to the GUI...that way people can't install things without you knowing.

Why am I helping him? Because at some point in the future v-nix is going to be posting about how he got caught looking at porn and chatting late at night and I'm going to have a great time at his expense.

If you're wondering why I'm being a bit hostile...Its because this isn't a "Oh God, my mother's boyfriend fucked over my computer because he used it to look at porn." or "Oh God, my computer has a virus and someone is controlling my computer."...its "Oh god, the authority figures in my life installed something on my computer so they can watch me and so now I can't use MSN when I'm not supposed to and look at porn." thread.
BTW...your computer probably has a crapload of viruses if your looking at porn.

Windows:

Start > Run

Type in msconfig

Startup tab (look for any suspicious programs, if unsure, google it)

Uncheck suspicious software, restart computer.

From what I understand the "mother" application can restart the app on command from the administrator computer (depending in the software being used) so that might not work for very long.

But it couldn't, because it needs that program to be running to restart it… Unless that's different in windows…

It probably depends on how its installed. he may be able to restart the application from somewhere else...I mean, what kind of spying program would it be if you could shut it off that easily? I used to deal with this in high school as a networking tech intern...silly kids, trying to shut off the blockers and other things...

EDIT: I did think of something...your mother's boyfriend could be using Windows to spy on your computer...I'll explain in a bit, its a bit lengthy.
