No, the beta was free. I played the beta, and it was free. The full version is out, right at this moment, and it is not free.

Oh, and I do play it sometimes, under the name of NicksNick.

What's all this about "Will be" and "Can't wait 'till it comes out"?

From Versions 1.0-1.9, toribash was freeware. In 2.0 you had to buy a 20$ reg key to get all the features ( saving replays, getting custom heads, playing online on all servers, mods, LUA scripts, tweaking the game rules, etc ) apparently 3.0's full version will be FREE. I dunno why, and i won't be bothered if it isn't free seeing as i spent 20$ on a reg key -_-

I loved Toribash, for the week i played it.
Afterwards, there was just less and less you could actually do.

and there was no "insane" mode to make the game more challenging and fun.

How can you say "Challenging" and "Fun" in the same sentence?!

In my experience, more challenging = less fun almost all of the time.

Exceptions include AirBurst (Original, AirBurst Extreme is more of an RPG sort of thing than an arcade game) of which I got to something like level 110 or so…

Have you ever played Lugaru?

Yes, Lugaru is a prime example of More Challenge = Less Fun.

Trust me, I went back to easy mode from normal mode because it wasn't as fun.

That's odd. I can't even go back to normal from insane because it's boringly easy.

Yep. i was trying to hint at how Lugaru>Toribash...
I guess i enjoy a challenge, an opinion etc.

Toribash is more of a free-form game. If you're good at it, you'll be able to play for 50 hours straight. If you suck at it, it gets boring after the first week. Same with lugaru. Even on INSANE mode, you can beat the whole game in less then an hour. Hell, maybe even in 20 or 30 minutes. There's not enough professional expansions for it, besides Temple and Forgotten Brother Hood, the latter of which hasn't even been released yet.

In Lugaru, the so-called 'challenges' are set for you.

In toribash, you just have to get creative. Go do this and make a replay, and see if toribash is so simple then.
  • Split Uke in half
  • Decap Him
  • Use archery somewhere along the line
  • No mods
  • DM Threshold on 150
  • Throw ukes torso 30 meters into the air ( at least )
  • Use an asymmetrical move ( as in you are not mimicking the right side with your left side and vice versa, i.e Contract both hips, contract both knees, contract pecs, something like that )

Harder things have been done... like throwing uke 97 meters in the air.

Wait, wait, wait. Forgotten Brotherhood? What is that? Who's making it? Will it actually be released?

Novanoah is working on it right now. It'll be released once he finishes, though he has gotten a great deal done. You can't expect it TOO soon tho, seeing as he's 11 and therefore doesn't have much time to work on it. ( Actually he does, but damn school is back so he gets most of his work done on weekends )

EDIT: Dammit novanoah beat me to the response :(
