If for some strange weird reason Lugaru isn't proverbially cutting the metaphorical mustard, here are some alternatives that are free!
  • Urban Terror - urbanterror.net
    Tremulous - tremulous.net
    Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - splashdamage.com
    World of Padman - worldofpadman.com
    Planshift - planeshift.it
Feel free to post additions to the list.

Thats more "What you should play". This is more "I'm kinda bored with Lugaru's limited story-line and I want to try something new..."

oh... well if you have a pc they give F.E.A.R combat away free and you can always download wolfenstein et but i suggest that you get the true combat mod for it and i believe that they give away a stand alone quake three mod lol and you can always get assault cube or if you are looking for something more story linish i suggest you get the aleph one version of marathon 2 but if you want to play marathon online get marathon infinity and I believe you can download quake 2 and doom free, oh and they have a multiplayer only version of americas army and you could also probably try out war rock

If I'm bored, I go to scene.org or pouet.net, download demos (like in computer gfx demos with cool soundtrack and stuff) and look at them.
Two really great groups are Andromeda Software Development (aka ASD) and Farbrausch.
That stuff should keep you entertained for a while if you dig that kind of thing because there are THOUSANDS of demos there.

For any Mac users....

Ambrosia SW

They have some pretty good games. Mainly for Macs, but they've made some, like EV Nova the greatest game out there, windows compatible. For most you can download a demo and to get the full version isn't much. I suggest SketchFighter for any arcade game lovers, EV Nova for more of the story line RPG players, and Darwinia for the puzzle types, though they're all awsome.

also, LieroX... the carnage amazes... and it's completely free.
Open LieroX

Jets n' Guns... More carnage...

Actually, Introversion Software made Darwinia and Defcon. Ambrosia ported them to Mac. Great games.

I've played a lot of ambrosia's games, including Uplink and Darwinia (Thank you Introversion!) and EV Nova. They're all pretty awesome to some degree. :)
