As in, he left. You can't insult someone in second person when they just left.

That's just stupid.

Renegade_Turner wrote:Pearl Jam was always fantastic for me...dude that album with Rearviewmirror had Daughter and Leash on it. They were great songs man.
That album is brilliant. I meant AFTER that album, Pearl Jam was full-blown mainstream and the following album was a good-bye to thousands of fans.

Edit: What they always did right though was continuously releasing Live-albums. Some of them are insanely good, even those from the later years. Some digging skills are required.

But you realize that they went into a depression right then, right? Their songs all became kind of un-rocky.
For me, Pearl Jam is Jeremy or Dissident. Songs of that quality were nowhere to be seen in the albums after the sheep-in-goal-cover one.

Geeze, I'm too lazy to look up the album titles... Well, you know which one I'm referring to, right? Right.

I like them all. Just because bands change styles doesn't mean I go ape shit at them. That's what annoys me most about Green Day fans. Like they all abandoned the band just because they matured and grew different tastes in music. I guess the people who were once their fans decided not to mature, and to expect men in their late-30's to still dropkick punks in the crowd.

For me, there's ONE good Green Day song, but it's good because we listened to it all the time when we were smoking in the cafeteria at school. There's some history to me liking this song.

Do you have the time to listen to me whine
About nothing and everything all at once
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone no doubt about it

Everything else I know of Green Day sounds alike and is boring.

I think the general state of teenage angst that the entire United States had in the 90's has disappeared, which is why bands like Linkin Park and Green Day just don't sound so great anymore.

Yeah dude. I'm really into screamo/hardcore/post-hardcore bands lately. I used to detest screamo and stuff, but bands like Alesana and stuff have gotten me into it. They're pretty awesome.

Children of Bodom + Trivium + Shadows Fall = perfect combo of metal bands to be obsessed with

I'm kind of obsessed with Metal that's at least 10 years old atm, and I especially seem to enjoy the late 80s crazy nonsense, like Running Wild and Manowar. I'm sure it is a phase. Iron Maiden is still timeless.
Also, watch the friggin video I posted earlier. The Megadeth one. It is so damn awesome, it makes my head go splat. I mean, LOOK AT THE FRIGGIN LEGGINGS!! LOOK AT THEM!!

Never heard of Manowar and Running Wild. I do love Megadeth and Iron Maiden. I particularly like Trust and Hangar 18 by Megadeth. And you gotta love Aces High. Best. Riff. Evar.

And Children Of Bodom are pretty awesome. Their cover of Oops! I Did It Again is lol-worthy but also orgasmic. Trivium and Shadows Fall are okay but I don't see much that distinguishes them from other bands. They both remind me too much of In Flames.

In Flames is amazing too
and yeah COB did the some of the greatest covers of songs, their covers of The Trooper and Aces High by Iron Maiden are also noteworthy imo

BUT Shadows Fall has actually been recognized as one of the most versatile metal bands out there (don't ask me, i just say what i hear)

one that's pretty interesting and that you should check out if you're brave enough is Finntroll...they have an orchestra pit and the dude apparently sings in two different languages over the extent of their material...Finnish and "Trollish"
xD
