Humans pick and choose what the want to hear and Ignore the rest.
Humans do pick and choose, that's true, but if you consistently have problems with people interpreting the things you say, you might want to take a closer look. If absolutely everyone on the planet is reacting one way to what you're saying, and you meant it another, the problem may be on your end.
Chainsaw man wrote:I openly admit to hating homosexuality, but not gay people.
How does that work? Homosexuality is an intrinsic part of gay people; if you hate homosexuality, there's got to be some hate for the gay people as well.
Chainsaw man wrote:I hate those that try to get in your pants, when you clearly dont want anything to do with them in that way.
I know everyones going to hate me for that veiw. but that veiw stands true to me. I apologize for the fact that you are offended.
Sounds like you had a bad experience with someone who was gay. But that's what it is,
a bad experience. Singular. It would appear you're judging the majority by the minority, which is almost always a dangerous assumption. Even if there was more than one bad experience with more than one gay person, that's probably just bad luck, it doesn't speak for all the other gay people out there. You may have had a problem with someone gay, but what reason do you have to hold the possibility of being gay against David? He's never come out and said either way, I won't make assumptions, but I think I speak for all of us here, David's a cool guy, how you could take a simple characteristic which has been severely biased in your mind and apply it to David? If I told you I was gay, how would you react? Hell, what if everyone here was gay, how would you react then? There are some pretty cool people on these forums, why would you hold that against them? Thinking highly of someone one moment and then turning on them the instant they hint they could be different than you first thought is very dangerous indeed.
And on a random tangent, I bet there are forums exclusively for gay people ... I wonder what they're like ...

Zanto has said to Colicedus to go die, go chock, and other crap. There for, do you not think I should have some right to insult him?
My insult did what it was supose to do, you can see Zanto is not hanging around this train wreck (despite he is partaly responsable (I amit I wear some of the blame) for this mess)
Zantalos is merely expressing a point of view. He hopes you'll die, you hate homosexuals ... both are points of view, and weighing in on the logic and rationality of each could lead to interesting discussions. If you really hate someone's point of view so much, why even bother responding to them? You're just putting fuel on the fire. That's the great thing about forums, you can acknowledge what you want and leave the rest out. Hell, there's always the vague possibility of stealthy conspiracies in which forum members boycott specific user's posts, dooming them to obscurity. If this happens enough, they may get sick of a lack of responses and eventually stop posting.

You know those people in multiplayer games (I'm thinking Halo) that do nothing but flame others? And then the people who flame them right back? They're just sinking down to the same level. Someone says something inflammatory, and then someone responds with something just as inflammatory. Who's going to come out on top? Neither. If someone's pouring on the hate, you don't respond to it with more hate, you're being just as bad as they are. Not only that, but they know you're letting them get to you. You need to transcend the flaming and come out on top. Either ignore it, or decimate them with superior logic and rationality. Does anyone remember
that thread in which David, in the words of R_T, 'came out of his shell'? It was pretty amusing.

That sounds extreme. Invertin, from what I've seen, is a rational guy ...
invertin wrote:Colic, I do like you as a friend, but so far you've been wrong with alot of things.
Take a closer look at that. He's cool with you, but not with your point of views. Maybe he's speaking sense, and you should look at what he disagrees with, and see what you can do to sort them out.

Are we finished here? or are you all gonna keep kicking a dyeing cat?
If you remain here, you will indeed have to work on your 'quirks', chief among them homophobia and speaking decent English. The latter is harsh, I know, but honestly, your writing makes me cringe to such an extent that sometimes I have a difficult reading it.
Am I right in you hinting you're on a Mac? If you are, I'm pretty sure there was 'check spelling as you type' throughout the whole OS in Tiger, and at the least there was a spellcheck. That would be an excellent start.
