Great, just Great, it's 11:00 PM where I am, dark as hell, I read this and I'm scared out of my friggin mind even before I read this because i've been searching chupacalbra pictures. BTW this forum wouldn't be the same if everyone that joins here had gone half insane/mad or just gets that way, I've always wondered if this place makes people crazy, or if they come here crazy, or if the craziness just builds off itself.

Insanity is probably the scariest thing of all. Death is bad, but after that it's eternal peace and all that. (Unless you're a murderer or something. Yes I believe in an afterlife of some sort.)

But once you are insane there is probably no going back and you can't tell what's real and what's not and if you are dead or alive.

Then again, some insane people have fun. Like the ones who keep seeing jesus and purple hippos. Etc.

From where I can see it, the only side effect this forum has is people seem to come in rather newbish and maybe even immature, but over time really seem to mature and become more intelligent, articulate, and all that good stuff. Maybe it's just a natural maturing process and it just happens to be witnessed here, but it's still pretty cool to see the difference from when they started off and where they are now :D

Insanity can be a temporary thing, if it's "achieved" through unnatural means; as I said before, I spiraled into insanity because of some medications I was on, but it only lasted about a week. Any length of time of insanity can do damage, though; it really shakes you up, and from then on, you always question reality, if what you're thinking is off the walls, or whether you'll completely lose control again. Even if it's not a conscious thing, you still don't quite feel as secure as you may have been before. It's not a nice feeling.

On the plus side, having experience with that kind of thing really opens up a whole new perspective: since then, there's a whole new dimension of the way that I look at things; it's not as though I see things as a madman, adding some fantastic albeit insane spin and new meaning to some everyday thing, it's that someone sees something one way, and another a different way, I see it a third or fourth way :P

That's true. There are some wonderful but insane scenarios people who've lost it go through; I can't remember the specifics, but when I was insane, I had a great time in the beginning ... only problem is no one else understood what I was on about :P

going by what you say about insanity I might as well be insane, cause from my fourth birthday to my seventh I thought I was dreaming, and there are still mornings where I can't tell if I'm awake or alive or dead or sleeping I just can't tell. and sometimes I see stuff but it's just wierd signs and it only happens when I'm half awake.

Seeing things that aren't there when half-awake is fine. I get that all the time.

Especially if you stare at a computer screen all day, which most of us do.

On the subject of not being able to tell real from dreaming- Once my dad woke me up out of bed before school, when I woke up I went downstairs and it was 6 in the morning, and dad was asleep.

So.. Did I dream it and didn't notice me waking up? Or did I go downstairs at all!?

It could have been a case he was up all night worrying about something, got you up and out, and went to bed at Breakfast.

BEST IDEA FOR HORROR GAME EVER-

A game where the main character is insane. I don't mean like Eternal Darkness where random stuff appears on the screen, I mean what started off as an ordinary day turns into batsh** craziness and gunning action, then the next day you wake up to realize the monsters you shot were actually people.

Hehehehe. GUILT TRIP FTW!

They played with that Paranoia in Silent hill 2 or 3. I'm not quite sure witch though. been ages since i played them. Once I get a copy of Lugarus editor, I'm gonna make an attempt at a Horror level.

I did make an attempt in Lugaru in my chainsaw mod. Challenge 2 was a Wolf Burial ground. I Realise i could have done better now with skins.

How about this: you start off in a cave, you keep going through lots of twist and turns inside and after about 3-5 corners a wolf with bone showing in places and bright yellow eyes, after that you go out into the bottom of a valley shaped like ¯\_/¯ and zombie like wolves and rabbits come down at you from the top, totally outnumbered you gotta take out one at a time trying not to let too many see you. BTW its really dark.

GL if you can do it. [/pleasedon'thurtmefornotsuggestingthisinanotherthread]

... I actually did do a level almost just like that a long time ago....lol
I'm just now noticing i still never got Lugaru back from when my computer crashed. But I haven't had much time to go back to it lately anyway, and in summer I'll be out most days, so idk haha.

Speaking of insanity, do you realise that this entire post has not a single spelling error, and only one punctuation error?

Creepy...

I think that when you are going down the stairs, maybe you have just gone for a drink after a huge wank and you are hearing what you think the girls on your Porno sound like because most of your blood has rushed to your lower body, your head is all spinny and because its still in the thought space of "whoooa that B*** is hot" mode, you hear these voices, I do it all the time, prefectly normal :|

Thats probobly not the case... You may be actualy hearing a young female relitive talking in bed with herself and sudenly stop when she thinks you are listioning, or maybe you WANT to hear these voices.

Then again, there is always the chance you have an entity in the room.
