That is a ridiculous statement. Black Holes have never been seemed formed, that is true, but they have been "seen" as well as an object that doesn't allow light waves to exit can be seen. I would bet, not just my life, but the existence of humanity on the existence of black holes. The scientific evidence for an object with the amount of gravitational force required to create acceleration greater than or equal to the speed of light is hard to discount.

Correct. They exist just as much as you do.

..you do exist, right?

Nonsense, they are still theoretical. That is a given. Nothing is certain, you shouldn't jump into things with two feet. People would have wagered the existence of humanity that the world was flat.

ummm...okay Renegade...okay...
You're mom is completely right to laugh at people who think a black hole could come from this experiment, that doesn't mean she was trying to say that people who believe in black holes are wrong. If she is a physics teacher I would guess she believes they exist. If not I would not want to be taught physics by her.

I never inferred that she held the same opinions I did, nor did I say I think black holes don't exist. However, I did say they are theoretical. Tee-o-rett-ik-al.

How you jumped to that whole host of conclusions I'm really not sure. That's a bad habit, you should cut it out.

Also, my mother is a well-respected and hard-working teacher at her school. I can say with some certainty you'll never know as much as my mother about Physics, so kindly STFU.

I see where Ren is going with this. The whole "Nothing is certain" thing is true, the only real thing you can prove is that you exist. Unless you don't. Point is that you can't PROVE that black holes exist, and you shouldn't be afraid of something that might not even be real.

Than what have we seen in outer space if black holes are not real? :?

Vast round spaces with nothing to see for infinity.

Um. Colic?

Black holes suck in all light.

YOU CAN'T SEE THEM. That's why they're called "Black Holes".

According to Steven Hawking if the machine works it will create lots of black holes, but they will be so small that they'll collapse on themselves all most instantly.

In other words- Machine is theoretically safe.
