Wow, really!? Are you sure it wasn't another Phoenix Down? The vast majority of people who know us are either local or know us personally.. That's awesome if he just randomly knew us
Thanks for the well wishes, man.
p.s. I'll get working on a California tour asap so we can get to Lotus Wolf

We'll also have new recordings in a couple of months, and are shooting for a full length cd around September. If we achieve that, it'll be on itunes and available by mail. W00t.

Hey Jendraz.
I like the music and the page, looks nice. Where are you looking to go with this band? Are you just doing it for yourselves, and don't really care where it goes, or are you looking to "make it big?" I'm in a band myself and if you want to "make it big" there's some pointers I can give you that will push you in the right direction.
1) Good recordings.
The music on your page sounds alright, but it's not the quality of the signed bands. If you want to be like them, you have to sound like them. Recordings EXPENSIVE, but many more people will want to buy a cd that sounds great then a cd that sounds mediocre, so it's worth every penny.
2) Myspace
Here's the thing about record companies. They don't really care as much about the music, as they care about how much money they'll make off your music. In the music business, it's a popularity contest. You could be the best, most creative band ever, but if you only have 100 friends on myspace, a record company will chose a band who isn't nearly as talented, but has 10000 friends. Use browse people and add friends like crazy! Record deals look at total friends, total profile views, total daily plays, and total plays all together. If you want to see a band that's probably about to get signed and the numbers they have, check out myspace.com/therealyou .
3) Shows and touring
The best way to increase your myspace views and plays is to play as many shows as you can. Try and play shows out of state as much as possible. This is probably the hardest part, because most people don't have enough time to do extensive tours, but if you want to make it big, it's something you have to do.
I don't know where you're hoping to go with this. I just thought I'd tell you what I personally know has helped me and the band I'm in. If you don't really care about getting signed, then you can just ignore everything I just said.
.

@Ren impersonator
Thanks for the thought. I'm not looking for commercial success through my music, so I don't have much desire to beef up our myspace friends, or spend $75 an hour to have our recordings mixed when I can do it myself and learn something in the process. But you are right, those are the things that record companies look for. Good luck making money with your music.
