If you're looking to make better recordings, check and see if your city has a community music center, or something similar.
Here we have a building that a lot of musical groups use to record tracks for free, and can rent out equipment.
Usually they have sound and audio programs you can use as well.

@shadow - thanks man. I don't have a beard.. Do you meant the guy with the goatee? (I just wouldn't call it a beard myself). I'm the one that sings (poorly at times)
@TheBigCheese - You live in a great community. I live in Chicago and go to school in St. Louis, and I'm sure that there is no free studio. The software (Protools/Nuendo) are not hard to obtain today, the real value comes from sound engineers who know how to manipulate sound waves correctly.
We might get a few tracks mastered by someone external this summer, but we'll definitely continue recording ourselves.

Another update:
Pirate Radio will be playing some of our music this Wednesday at 9:30pm GMT+1. Apparently one or more of their members frequent this forum

Spent a good chunk of today making the image at the beginning of this thread and getting it onto our myspace page. More website improvements to follow.

Just listened to your newest songs, I need to get them on my ipod NOW. Aeronaut still sounds as great as when I heard it first too.

Devils club has got to be the most annoying plant ever. I once had some devils club stuck in my left middle finger for almost three years, it itched like crap and we couldn't get it out.
