Re: obligatory introduction thread
Was that even trolling? Usually there's at least some effort to disguise the fact
But yes, I meant Johnny Depp. Of course.

Wolfire Forums, the only place that an attempt at joking playfully could be construed as malicious. You disappoint me, Viktor. =/Freshbite wrote:Obvious trolling is obvious.
Re: obligatory introduction thread
Well, joking is a form of playful trolling.
I think it comes naturally that I interpreted it as such.
And trolling doesn't necessarily need to be harmful.

Re: obligatory introduction thread
Ahh c'mon now, trolling always has a negative connotation. Trying to rationalise it any other way is just nonsensical!
Re: obligatory introduction thread
Well, I can't find seem to find an example to prove that wrong, unless the one being trolled is not aware that the act performed is trolling, e.g. someone that doesn't know that being Rickroll'd is a negative thing.
[Perfect Example], happened to find it just now.
But joking with someone doesn't necessarily have a positive effect, especially when you're not telling the person in question that you're joking with them.

Re: obligatory introduction thread
That's okay then, since it was actually blatantly obvious that I was joking! Right? I can't see how it could've been construed as anything other than a joke!
Re: obligatory introduction thread
Well, in that case, all is good.

Re: obligatory introduction thread
Woops. Kinda missed that spot.
Ermm... So as you might have cleverly guessed, I'm Morki, author wannabe (only published i amateur webzines for now, yet I'm working on something more serious; third novel, first I'm not ashamed of when almost done); I've tried other ways to tell stories, and that's what turns me on; to tell stories.
Even if it's in the forest around a fire camp with drunks buddies singing too loud.

Hi-zors!
I just bought the pre-order from overgrowth, but I've heard a bit about it the last couple of months, so I thought I might aswell try it out
My real name is Bono (Yes named after the lead-singer from U2
) de Visser (which litterally means "the fisherman" in dutch). 19 Years old and counting
I'm currently in my senior year in IT-management (if I put that correctly), after that I'm probaply going to follow a masters degree in game-development. I know a little programming in different languages (mostly the "advanced basics") being: HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, C#. My most recent accomplishment in C# is a still very WIP Pokémon game (don't ask me why the hell I made that, because frankly.. I don't know
). I also just started out with 3d modeling, I'm using 3DSmax 2011, and I've made pretty good progress on making models, though I have yet to finish one.
Other hobbies of mine are photography, and (mountain)biking (Bike about 110 km's a week). I also just stopped skateboarding because it didnt quite give me the fun it used to.
I think that would be about it..
Cheers
