You guys just aren't doing it right. When you see a girl you like, you gotta wait until she isn't looking then club her upside the head with a bat or a 2x4 and then drag her back to your cave/orifice/parents-basement. Then when she wakes up, use her grogginess to your advantage and convince her that you're married.

why would she be sleeping in a basement if you were married.

Im sure the couple can come up with something about why they live in a basement. Natural disaster, bad real estate agent, termites ate the house...
