Insane Clown Posse? You mean "most unremorsefully commercialist and gimmick-laden band", not "weirdest band name".

I say "Neutral Milk Hotel". I said it when my friend told me about this band, and I'll say it again. I really do hate using the word "random", because it is so god damn fucking overused, but when he said the name of that band I couldn't help thinking "That's fucking random..."

No its actualy quite orgonized. Milk is Alkali, while chillis are acidic, Netral milk would mean its some kind of specal milk. Now, use your imagination, Im sure there are 'milky' substances that come from the human body that are netural in acidity, and are comon in some red light district hotels.

There's a band that's named something like "#!%". They were at Lollapalooza in Chicago 2 years ago, I believe.

Nah, he used to call the project "Milk" and only changed it because there was another band under the same name. Your theory is completely off. It was a completely random choice of words to throw together.

Also, "alkali" is a type of base. "Alkali" and "acidic" are not really opposites, as your post implies. The two opposites are "bases and "acids"...and milk is towards the "acidic" side of the pH scale. So, no. Milk =/= alkali. Small chemistry lesson there.
