Has anyone ever played Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul? You can play it for free now. Here's the link to the website http://savage2.s2games.com/main.php I downloaded the demo when you had to buy the full version of the game.

Oh yay, there's a free version of Savage 2 for mac, yet the only Savage 1 mac version is still retail.

Priorities, man… :P

I wonder if I'll be able to find just one server where I get 100 or less ping…

Savage! I played that once. Enjoyed it for a while, then the all-too-simple combat system (Chaaaaarrrg- oh, I'm dead) got me fed up with it.

I wonder if this one would be better...
Eh. Intel, though. Remind me of it's existence once more when I got an Intel machine.

I played the demo for Savage. I kinda like the whole RTS/FPS thing as long as the commander isn't a moron...

This was generally the greatest downpart of the game: No-one who was good at it wanted to be the commander, and everyone else...
Well.

11 deaths and 42 kills? You feeder. You should have 5 deaths and 45 kills. :P

This is probably more possible in Tremulous, though. Since in trem, you can actually stay alive if you try, unlike some deathmatch games (*cough*quakeclones*cough*).

It's free. Yes.
Why are you still only thinking of getting it?

Oh?
Then I'm afraid I've either misunderstood something, or I've been misinformed.

I got the game a few minutes after posting that actually. It seems the full version (from what I can tell) lets you have 2 more inventory slots, access to more game replays, and something else that I think wasn't that important enough that I should pay 10 bucks (which I could do, it's only a one time payment, but I'm just too darned..... whatever that word is I'm looking for)

I haven't gotten to play online, however. The game is kinda weird. The tutorial is basically "okay here's some gameplay controls and attacking stuff, now if you need more help there's this ingame voice-in-your-head system and you can watch replays to get better! Really watch replays and stuff if you need help. Really... you should go watch some replays or use the help system. I'm serious."

After I'm done posting on forums and junk I'm going to go play.
