Just today (this morning 13 jan) my computer stopped working. It was obviously after a computer update, because my computer does this:
1.*Starts up the computer*
2. After all the loadingness
3. Computer says "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%"
4. once it reaches 99%, it restarts, then does the whole shebang all over.

I managed to get cmd working, so I managed to work my browser (Which I'm using to write this)
Anyone got a solution?

Get a Mac.

Anyway, shouldn't it give you an error and then scrap the updates? Weird…

I would due to the fact it works out of the box like you'ed expect.

Already have, it does nothing. The updates still try to "configure".

I was using one there last Thursday, went over to my friend Tom's house because we were going out drinking, turns out he's after getting a Mac, I didn't realise it was a Mac for about 5 minutes and then was like "Oh you got a Mac!"

Personally dunno what the fuss is about lol.

I don't like the mouse. The mouse...ball thing is annoying.

Plus I don't like the whole idea of people trying to force their opinions on me or others.

Yes, I have noticed Mac and PC have started to look very similar lately...

Most people say it's Microsoft stealing Apple's ideas, others say it's coincidence, and a small group of grizzly old men claim Microsoft to be god, Apple to be satan, say Apple's stealing Microsoft's ideas, and aren't really coming up with any proper arguments.

Actualy, Since Microsoft owens allot of Apples shares, I think Microsoft and Apple computers are now trying to work together. What we might be seeing is OS x artists making GUI's for Vista ??
I personaly just want a computer that Will work. One I do not have to fix every ten minutes due to some system faliure.

Yeah, the Mighty Mouse mousewheel is annoying. The right click is also annoying. It registers as a left click when you push on the right side with your finger touching the left. It actually expects you to NOT rest your fingers on the mouse in order to click. Good thing I use a trackpad. I'm probably one of the few people who can actually play an FPS game reasonably well with a trackpad.

When I say "Get a Mac" it's usually in jest. (But always when getting a mac will actually fix the problem.)

Personally, the Mac was a more successful GUI back in the day. Right now, Microsoft is disappointing me, as XP trumps Vista and Windows 7, and while XP is awesome, you can always make successful updates. As for the Mac, there's no real difference between a PC and Mac on the surface level. The designs and graphics are a bit different, and there are some varieties of the programs, but really, there are very few real differences, none of them critical. I.E., the PC is much better for gaming, as a lot of games which aren't available for cross-platform are PC only. I've seen that work in reverse, but it's rather rare.

There is a flipside to that Ragdollmaster. Games that become cross platform for Mac are usualy worth playing

See which computer has an operating system you like better, which one you like using better, and which one has more applications you like. Then buy it and shut up, its that easy.
