'for mac' is simply a lot easier to type than 'reliant on the mac os operating system'. I'm sorry you feel that way.

Er, no, the 'Mac' part makes perfect sense. The PC part does not.

Windows only, For Windows, Win compatible etc aren't that much harder to type. It's just become engraved into internet culture (and pretty much everywhere else) that "PC" when used in conjunction with "Mac" refers to the Microsoft Windows operating system.
