Lol I was thinking that. I was also thinking that with the whole Mass Effect thing, wouldn't giving out about it just make kids want to play it more? If their parents forbade them from playing it. They'd only get it off a friend or something. So it was kind of backwards. You only hear about wars on the news and stuff, so why don't they start saying to censor the news if they want to censor video games? The news is where you hear about all the killing.

All mainstream news sources suck anyway, so I wouldn't really care. Except for Al Jazeera.

News is different from games Ren and Invertin. Games in any form are a means of entertainment, a way of having fun, I could go on more indepth but I wont.

News on the other hand is a means of informing the public of whats going on in the world. The News should not be senosored. I do belive they warn us when something is bound to be shocking to see like new open heart surgury methods and the like, although I must admit Ameracan news is the most useless news out, If I wanted to see a reporter run some one down I would watch Steve Wilco. Ameracan News reporters are drama queens, rating obsesiove and Propaganda pushers In my Humble Opinion, and some of the crap they say should not be displayed because its absolute rubbish and a biase opinion.

Im Deviating from my point, the News and Games are two different things entirely with differnt objectives.

No. News used to be a way to tell us what was going on in the world. Now it's "LOOK A DISTRACTION" and a bit of world events if there's something absolutely massive going on. The news don't give us news, they give us what they think will keep us watching. Hence they blame videogames because it causes controversy, which improves the amount of people watching.

what american news do you watch/read/listen too? inside edition? something else disgusting like that? p.s. not defending america just saying, most of the news that's full of drama queen reporters chasing down people is usually some kind of private pulp magazine that's all about profit.

I think everyone is over-exaggerating their comments a bit.

The human race has always had its flaws. We've come a long way from travesties like the Crusades. Still, war never changes.
Fallout series: War.... war never changes...
Metal Gear Solid 4: ...WAR HAS CHANGED!
YOU'VE CREATED A TIME PARADOX!

But seriously, I just watched the news for the weather report, and now that I don't have to worry about the weather so much, I don't. if I want to check the weather I'd check online nowadays.

Maybe that is why I know so little about what's going on and such.

If there's something important going on one of my friends will probably tell me about it.

Lol wow.

And for Roland I watch/read Fox news mostly, and everything else I hear about I get from The Daily Show. But they all definately over dramatize, the difference is that the news is dramatic about things that might kill us, but probly not. The other magazines and such are dramatic about a bunch of snooty celebrities and what rehab they are in now.

What I really hate about the news is how they just keep one story about a little girl who was kidnapped, and they use it for at least 2 monthes if not wayyy more. Now I'm not saying I don't care about the girl who died or was kiddnapped, and yes we should keep trying to find out the killer or whatever and take them to justice. What pisses me off is how everyone goes crazy about it, meanwhile theres another story that no one will see that says "116 Iraqi's killed in suicide bombing" and no one will even read it because it's not local. It's like that one quote, I think it was by Stalin, one death is a tradgedy, a thousand is a statistic, or something along those lines, and it makes me sick.

Kinda off topic but ranting makes me happy :D

CNN, NBC and Fox News all have their hidden agendas. Same with Sky News in the UK. Same with RTE News in Ireland. *Shrugs* They all have their political leanings and they siphon everything through that filter.

I'm afraid you have quite a lot to learn if you think that's all there is to the mainstream news sources.

lol news is hardly informative most of the time, at least on a personal basis, usually I find they don't mention a single thing I need to hear, or even want to hear, personally I don't care that someone got court marshaled for killing someone they weren't supposed, or that china's painting babies with lead. if I had a baby sure I might care, but otherwise they usually don't talk about anything halfway relevant to me. maybe that makes me greedy maybe not. lol also ren did you typo? I'm not sure I don't think I'm reading things right.

Your missing and atempting to evade the point Ren and If I have to rephrase myself I will:
You cannot up right say censor the news because of what it is. If you can find a way to change that, I invite you to do it. What are you going to do?
