Re: My Sister has An Irrational Fear Of Blankets.
What's the name for fear of spikes under a cliff?
Re: My Sister has An Irrational Fear Of Blankets.
I'll google it.
EDIT: Uh. I'll just google the one for cliffs and the one for spikes and put the names together...
Aichmophobia is the phobia of spikes (well, technically the phobia of needles and pointy things, but spikes count), but I can't find anything for cliffs or the bottoms of cliffs. *shrugs*

We try not to use that word here. ^^Ac30 wrote:It's retarded. imagine --
On another note, it could be claustraphobia. (However the hell you spell it) she could be Thermophobic. Weird. @[email protected] :P

You could go with Basiphobia, fear of falling. That might be as close as it gets. So fear of falling on spikes would be like Aichmobasiphobia I suppose.

Voreaphobia- Fear of being eaten. (I think... vore = consume, but I don't know if this would mean fear of being eaten or fear of eating. If it's the latter, LOL.)

Well... no, because sitophobia is the fear of eating, and phagophobia is the fear of swallowing or being eaten/swallowed (though by definition you'd have to be really crazy for that(snerk)).
So no voreaphobia, but there is a Vorarephilia which is a fetish revolving around eating, or being eaten. That's wikipedia for you.

I have a fear of heights, not like looking from the top of the empire state building, looking down from like 10 feet freaks me out at least a little. I can jump down from two or three times my hight but it still freaks me out.
Re: My Sister has An Irrational Fear Of Blankets.
Me and my dad feel the same.MONKEYZ RULE wrote:I have a fear of heights, not like looking from the top of the empire state building, looking down from like 10 feet freaks me out at least a little. I can jump down from two or three times my hight but it still freaks me out.
Well, my dad more than me. It's kind of weird, his level of fear actually varies. He might be fine standing on the edge of a cliff one moment, and scared to look down the stairs the next.
Infact, once he went to a giant building thing, I can't remember what it was, but the main room was opened up so people could look down at how big it all was. And of course, his vertigo went onto full power. He couldn't even go down the stairs. In the end, he went down a lift/elevator.
