Wtf? Did you listen to the songs at all? Tupac is not "gangsta rap", and he was actually insulted by the term. He said in an interview that it's rap. That term annoys me, and is more suitably applied to people like 50 Cent and Ja Rule, who are a load of bollocks.

Aesop Rock is okay, I've already said what little I thought of Asher Roth, Flobots sound to me like Gym Class Heroes except not good, Wu Tang Clan is pretty much awesome especially "Triumph", Kanye West is another rapper with untypical themes of the scene, which is admirable. I saw Kanye live, so I win. Oh, and Santogold was supporting him.

Still, Tupac is the best.

That guy fails, a triple negative wouldn't result in a positive. If you're going to try to take the piss out of someone, at least do it correctly.

I've listened to Tupac before, it crossed me as similar to 50 Cent and the likes, even if not lyrically, I'm talking the overall sound...I could always have just not cared at the time.

Yes, Kanye and Wu Tang Clan are great but I do have to say I wasn't impressed by Kanye's Stronger and I'd have much rather gone with the original song rather than this mash-up he did.

Btw, I think the guy in that interview was Weird Al...not just 'that guy.' So epic fail on his part.

Gotta love his afro, lmfao:

this isn't really all that great, but props to the newb for the effort

I'm not a fan of Tupac, I can definitely see why you like him though, along with many other people. He has some really amazing lyrics, but I'm just not into rap-like sounds. I kinda wish some people would do covers of those songs so I could listen to the lyrics with guitars and such in the background, that might just end up killing it though.
Blorx wrote: The usual rap I listen to is like Aesop Rock, Flipsyde, Asher Roth, LMFAO (not sure if they're rap or techno =P), Flobots, Hollywood Undead, Brokeyncyde, some Kanye West, K'naan, Dragon, The Teriyaki Boyz (I'm serious haha), The RZA, Wu-Tang Clan, etc.
Hollywood Undead is my absolute favorite band right now. I saw them and Brokencyde in concert just a few weeks ago, along with Senses Fail and Haste the Day. They were really good live, better than in their album in my opinion. Brokencyde I didn't really like though, but all my friends did lol. Haste the Day was really good as well, but didn't really fit in with the other bands, but that wasn't a bad thing, a break with some metal was pretty nice. Senses Fail is really good as well, really good mosh pit too. Hollywood Undead was simply amazing though. They took off their masks too, which was pretty cool, I'm not sure if they do that at all their concerts but it was interesting nonetheless.

Here's a couple HU songs if anyone cares, lol :D

That's not what it would be. It would be "(-1)(-1)(-1) = -1". Equation fail.

Yeah, epic fail for Weird Al Yankovic, I don't care how funny his Chamillionaire parody was.

Yeah I thought that fake interview was pretty lame by Weird Al.

It's funny how in the songs "Will The Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up," Christina Aguilera and Weird Al (not sure which one actually wrote the song) both talk about how Eminem has no talent. I thought that was a rather ridiculous argument by them as he is one of the most talented rappers ever.

False Logic.
What you're actually experiencing is a forum comprised almost entirely of previously enraged, blithering idiots which have collected there as though pulled in by the center-force of internet geezery. This merely makes you feel intelligent in comparison, don't worry, you're still the stubby, ignorant slob you've always been... just like the rest of us! =D

Came home drunk tonight listening to some We Are The Ocean, and decided to show to you some English bands I really like these days:

*** You Me At Six - You've Made Your Bed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py3rKXLnvOs

*** The Chase - Fires: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiNLl_JRPrM (This band is now broken up unfortunately ):)

*** We Are The Ocean - Nothing Good Has Happened Yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTn8Sdt1cxc (This is pretty much the English version of Alexisonfire)

*** Furthest Drive Home - Diamond Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DwFLbJhvrE

*** Kids In Glass Houses - Give Me What I Want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVvwGmIINQw

*** Exit Ten - Technically Alive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEUkkO6FDBE

*** Saving Aimee - Small Talk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t5b05J1LgM

*** Go:Audio - Made Up Stories: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG6YipU7LfU

I recall you guys saying something about this Brokencyde band. I just heard them on a video on youtube and had a look at their other videos. They're seriously embarrassing. I'm not sure whether the video for Freaxxx is supposed to be ironic or not. The lyrics are terrible, I think one guy actually said "I know she wants my sex".

I'm all for each person having their own tastes, but I'm really puzzled at how anyone could enjoy the music, it's cringeworthy.

The screams aren't even any good. The "rapping" is worse.

And yes, We Are The Ocean ARE great, and I also have their EP.

Agree with the Brokencyde thing. I don't care enough to listen to them again, but do they ever stop screaming? At that concert that's all they did, and the only words I could understand were "sex party". That made up like 92% of the song I think though.

Just listened to We Are the Ocean, pretty good, I think I'll get some of their songs when I have the chance. Go Radio I couldn't get into unfortunately.

Anyway, due to the fact that I hate Warp Tour for taking almost every good band all summer long, then putting it on a day that I WONT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ON.... I'm only going to be able to go to one or two concerts all summer. Here's some of the band's going to it. Any of you guy's know/like them?

Broadway - You gotta love
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbi0lMnSDEE

Our Last Night - Escape
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDzj5qjaL1s

In Fear and Faith - Live Love Die
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNYYX3e7LsQ

I See Stars - What this means to me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teJV2esrZQU

Burden of a Day - Smile that Kills
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDkAaowMEa8

These guys are all pretty good, I like I See Stars and Broadway the most, but to be honest none of them as good as some of the bands I'd like to see.

Yeah I had to listen to Go Radio a few times before I got into them. Their best songs are Forever my Father and Why I'm Home. I don't really care for any of the other ones.
