Riddles!
Post riddles here, and try to solve others' riddles.
Here's the first;
1: You're trapped in a room with two doors. One door leads to death, one leads to the outside world. You can ask one of the guards one question and then try to get out of the room. There is one guard who always lies, one guard who always tells the truth, and one guard who stabs people who ask tricky questions. How do you get out? It's a trick question. Normally there is no stabby guard.

Re: Riddles!
First I'd say to the Truth guard: does the liar or you have the key, if he says that he does, or not.
I would beat them both up with my skills, find the key, and open both doors :p

Re: Riddles!
me? i would ask the lair this: Point to the death door, then i would continue to walk to the door he pointed to and leave. Thus living at least a few more years in the world.

Re: Riddles!
If I asked either guard, "Which door would you indicate leads to the outside world?" Take the door opposite to what's indicated. Regardless of whom you ask, they'll point to the wrong door.
The lying guard will tell you his truth-telling friend will tell you to take the wrong path, not because he is deceiving, but because it is given that he ALWAYS lies. The truth-telling guard will tell you that his lying friend will also tell you the wrong path.
Then, you know which path is the wrong path and must take the opposite.

Re: Riddles!
Picture, if you will, the Isle of Row, a one-acre forsaken swatch of desert in the middle of the Sea of Troubles. Despite its diminutive size, Row has no less than four kinds of people, all outwardly indistinguishable from one another. There are the members of the First Family, who always tell the truth, and the Pretenders, who never do. There are the Eccentrics, who may or may not tell the truth, depending on whim. Finally there are the Wimps, who are incapable of speaking unless they have heard one of the other kinds of people speak, and then they obsequiously chime in.
One day, as luck would have it, I found myself at the only crossroads on the island, facing four possible routes. Three Rowians stood by, milling about, and I had only two questions to ask in order to reach, as directly as possible, the fabled 100-foot Tower of Schmooze, the island's premier, albeit only, tourist attraction. What did I do?

This only works in the original version. With the stabby guard, you can't solve it :/Everyone wrote:blahblahblah
Lotus: I think, with such a small land area of an acre, and the tower being 100 feet tall and the only building on the island, it would be easily distinguishable. Ignore the 'Rowians' and walk towards it =P
RIDDLE: Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?
Re: Riddles!
The first 21 floors are a millimeter tall.

Re: Riddles!
Why exactly would he jump through the window if he already opened it? That's the real question.
Re: Riddles!
The hole where the glass used to be is still the window, ren.
And for that matter, glass is not very soft, so why would he be able to jump through it had he not opened the window?
As for the riddle he was clearly superman or had some sort of superpower. Possibly electric-based, because evidence shows that people with electric powers can fall a really high distance and survive.
Course if he fell in a pool of water he'd be screwed.

Wtf? Of course people can jump through panes of glass. Don't be silly.
And no it's not, it's now a hole in the wall.

Re: Riddles!
All wrong so far. The window is not broken or anything, the man just slid it open and jumped through.
HINT: He didn't fall the 21 stories. But how? (The trick is in the wording... semantics, my children.)

Re: Riddles!
Was brad a window cleaning dude? So he would have jumped INTO the building, not out.
Nobody's gonna try to answer mine even though it's ridiculous?
If I say "Everything I tell you is a lie," am I telling you the truth or a lie?
