A talented artist with mental illness?
Seems to be pretty common through history...
His live performances from the early-mid 80's are worth a look: he (and his band) rip it up.
There's a pretty good dvd out for rent with some music vids and some live stuff.
It's kinda weird watching him and thinking, "Wow! ... too bad he turns out to be nuts..."

i dont realy care about his death *no its not because i hate him* i think we should care about the memories he left behind for us, he's a man who dident realy have such an easy life.He actualy had the fighting spirit to stand up after all this time and say "im gonna make my comeback" thats a tough thing to do when you are 50 years old and suffer from the physical problems caused by that age.
Michael Jackson had at allot on his mind too, people liked him but some some allso saw him as a child molester,thats a huge lack of faith in him. I doesent realy raise your mental state that some people looks at you as some monster right ? R.i.P M.J 50 proud years as the king of PoP:we all know you will rock the socks off the next dimension

He wouldn't ever have been able to make something of the same calibre again anyway.
Yes, he did great things, but no-one lives forever and nothing ever lasts, blah-de-blah, finity of everything, ramble-de-ramble, etc.
Frankly, if I would've been a completely emotionless prick this would be the moment where I'd say 'Go cry emo kid' or something similar.
Luckily I can understand that some people may be touched or upset by this happening and I will leave you sundering in your sorrows, as everyone needs to when they're slightly down.
And now, something to cheer you up:
