Similiar types of scenes are in millions of other anime, I prefer one piece not the 4kids version :l

Yes but this, this is the one that did it the best (not the first, but definitely the one with the visual flair, especially for an anime from 1988). Or even the one that later animes took their "screaming robot attack names" thing from. I'm probably wrong, but this is a well known one.
