I guess I'm really not as old as most of the people on the forum, I have never seen a black and white game. And when i said I've always been behind in video games, thats because I only get a console when a new one has already come out. Come to think about it, I was still playing on a SNES 2 years ago...

More precisely:

GBA (but thats not very old)
GB
GBC
MAME
C64

But now im only emulating DOS with DOSBox (the Shawn
Holwegner version).
How old are you Loki?

lets see,
my FIRST video game would have to have been DOOM the original. I was like 5, and it was my favorite video game. After i beat it for the 10th time (without cheats) i moved on the Chex Quest (YEAH! I'm not the only one that totally LOVED that game!) i beat that a good 7 or 8 times, then i moved on to Alone in the Dark. Classic, and very very scary. i found it and loaded it up on XP and it was rather funny. I also played FC17 or something, some falcon flying game that cost you like 150 when it was first released. Naturally i moved on to mario cart and what not when i was older. But nothing was ever as good as killing those zombies (or whatever those 2d images were) in Doom. Chex quest is out for mac?! SWEET! please post a link i HAVE to play this again.

-TC

P.S. i also forgot to add in Star wars episode 1 racer. Which actually is a good 6 or 7 years old. Moved onto that after Alone in the Dark.

I'm really sorry, I can't find the link to it. :( If I could find a place to quickly upload 24.7 MB so you could download it, I would.

The first games I remember playing are Mario Bros and Ice Climber for the NES. MegaMan and Nija Gaiden, Joust, Duck Hunter, Dr Mario, Captain Planet (I know...), and many other NES games.

Then came the SNES. Super Mario World, Final Fantasy 6 (my first FF game), Super Metroid (which I still play frequently to this day), MegaMan X, Chrono Trigger (still one of the best RPGs of all time).

Then came the Playstation, with Battle Arena Toshinden, Jet Moto 2, Gran Turismo, Armored Core, Metal Gear Solid, and my favorite game ever, Final Fantasy 7. 8 and 9 I also enjoyed.

Then PS2, with Gran Turismo 3, Kinetica, Metal Gear Solid 2, Armored Core 2, Final Fantasy X...

On my iMac I play Quake 1 2 and 3, Unreal Tournament, Halo, hundreds of SNES games via emulators, Starcraft (the first game I played on a computer I think), and many more.

There have been many more games but those are the ones that stand out the most.

@Razor7: You were playing 'M' rated games at 5?! I can't even play them now!
@leDoOd: Try .Mac, it's fast
@Gramage: Man you played alot!

Actually, my first game was 'Keywack' where you could hit any key or the mouse to make a shape appear...the only problem was, you couldn't quit...unless you restarted the computer, lol

hdlsa: I did, briefly.

This is supposed to be "First games you played" though, not "The entire history of your gaming experience.

It was. When I was young, I often sat and watched my dad play this game. I even gave it a shot, but I was about 5 years old.

Hey Razor7, I .sitx'd my Chex Quest and uploaded it, see if it works.

(right+click and save as)

Sorry it's Angelfire, but my .Mac membership expired and I can't find another place to upload files en masse.
