What were your first games you played?
NICE! thanks for the download.
And yes, i was playing M rated games at 5. I think it was bundled with the computer, or something... i forget what. I also think "alone in the dark" was rated M, but i have no idea.
Who ever said Jet Moto, you are now my hero! I have buddies that had that on PS and i would play it whenever we got together. My parents never really liked having console systems, so i didn't get a N64 till i was 12 or so (about the time gamecube was released and all of the N64 games were going on for 7 bucks... pretty sweet actually) and i got it for $20.
Of course the next year i saved up and bought an Xbox, or whenever they were first released. I love it to death, custom painted it myself. My Ps2 has windows made of plexi glass (so you can see the internals) clear cd drive, and it's painted blue (also a custom mod by myself). The xbox just has the "X" painted blue and the face plate.
well other than the fact that THAT GAME IS DEMONIC!!!!!! it was fun for 2 levels. SO i loaded it up and put it on the hardest setting, killed to slimy guys, then the big ol' red floating guys that shoot fireballs in Doom come out and start killing me! and of course, the zorcher is doing no damage.... i really hope that didn't sell cross platform. Not to mention the broken graphics... Not your fault, im not pointing fingers at you, but it looks like the conversion didn't go over well, or the people that made it didn't skin Doom well enough (which is all it is, skins over doom)

yeah, the most literal representation of being able to "make a quick buck". All they did was skin Doom! I played through each level (which only took 5 minutes... thank you console and "noclip") and it has got to be the biggest knock off of anything ever! I mean, i really hope tha ID made that, cuz i would be sad if they didn't.

Yikes. First game... I don't remember if that's Mario Bros. for the NES, or Atari Baseball.
Mario Bros./Baseball -> Final Fantasy -> Legend of Zelda -> Castlevania/Adventures of Lolo -> Zelda 3: Link To the Past...
I was 3-4 when I beat Final Fantasy. Mom taught my brothers and I how to read very early, for which I'm eternally thankful. =P I'd still rather play a solid SNES game than most of the newer stuff. F-Zero, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 5, Gundam Wing: Endless Duel, etc.

The first game I played was on an old computer that had a black and white, yellow tinted monitor. You controlled this black shaded guy on a angled top down view and you had a compass that told you which direction the other human was. You could only move diagonally up, down, left, or right. the game was fun because you had to jump through obstacles and always stay above ground level because there were giant ants or spiders that would eat you.
The first game I remember playing was... well I cant remember that very well (and it was probably 15 years ago). I would have to geuss Oregon Trail (the way original, which i still have and play) or this game I played at school in 1st grade where you had to go to different points in a city for certain errands. We had a map of the city on paper and would type numbers corresponding to each location. Actually reading through the old post, I might have playe Reader Rabbit first. I doubt Carmen Sandiego, but it definetly ranks up there in my early games.
I do like how reading these posts makes me feel old. Some of the games listed I distinclty remember when they first came out.
