The problem with that is that they still expect gifts from you ... even if you are the one who can't afford it ...

Do you guys ever get gifts from girlfriends? (other than christmas and birthdays) I sure as hell didn't

Lol me neither, my computer crashed or something a long time ago and I figured I'd wait for Overgrowth... that was like 2 years ago... lol

My current girlfriend got me a belt (according to my cousin because she wants me to keep my pants on).. thats about it. I'm usually the one getting her gifts.

she got you a belt because she was afraid you might have a belt with a buckle she couldn't figure out and she wanted to be able to get your pants off faster. she doesn't get you gifts because she hates you though. that's just my logic.

in my experience that means you're totally screwed and she's gonna make your life total hell. examples 2 of my brothers and I. the older one went out with a girl who said she wanted to marry him, she got engaged to him, she cheated on him with his best friend, flipped out at him repeatedly and acted generally bi polar, second brother girl said she wanted to marry him then broke up with him and decided to move to Alabama then came back and started stalking him. Me, Girlfriend said she wanted to marry me then cheated on me broke up with me as an April fools day joke, then really broke up with me on our anniversary and went out with another guy ten days later. maybe it's a family problem where we go out with bat shit crazy girls but I think not, and as much as she doesn't seem crazy now it might change.
