LOVE

Anyone else heard of it? I think it looks totally incredible. The speculated fees seem a bit excessive (monthly) but I fully intend on paying for a month or two just to support Eskil and to play it and see how it is.

I can't really describe it. You'll have to go to the page xD

But yeah, the screenshot section seriously is screenshots.

Have never heard of it before, but indeed it looks like a incredible game. Remind me to try it once it's here 8)

Yeah, looks really promising :D

I got the engine demo working over WINE too, so I may be able to try it out before it's ported + costs money :?

Holy Shi-, I mean holy Shi-.

The fact that this was built by one guy is amazing! He's created bunches of in-depth asset creation tools and a procedural AI.

Definitely watching this one.

If you haven't, make sure to check out the videos, as they show to power of the gameplay.

The alpha's going to cost 3 euros or around 5 dollars a month. This is so that anyone can play it. If he kept it free, only 200 people would be in alpha.

I'm gonna pay for at least a month. I wanna try it out. :D

The screenshots are exceptional to me btw, I love how they come out like paintings. ^-^

Eskil makes a good point: You would have to be entertained by the game for over five months before you paid the same amount as a AAA game. AAA games don't often entertain me for five months, making it a deal worth making.

This is very true - I have no problem with him charging money at all: we all gotta eat :D

I'll also be buying at least a month, maybe a few if it's as low (3 €) as that!

The alpha will be €3. The final release will be more like €10/month. Still, probably worth it to try for a month.

You know the coolest thing about this game?

It's all low-poly...just has pretty shaders. ^_^

What takes more bleans though - polygons or shaders?

The biggest mistake was to call the game "Love" - if you look up "Love" on Google you're unlikely to find anything, and if you look up "Love game"... :|

I played, got in, then fell down a hole. I tried quitting and loging in again, but it won't let me get in now.

There was an issue with the update earlier, I think. It should work now. As far as getting stuck, hit escape and click on the arrow next to "Power" on that bottom menu bar. It'll respawn you. First thing you should do is find a settlement. Good way to find other players. ^_^

I did. I found the settlement before falling down the hole. Thanks for the re-spawn tip, too. I first spawned in a series of pits that were difficult to navigate, but the tunnel/bridge generating algorithm proved it's worth.
