Also Fournine, nice sum-up. But you also assumed I was taking this seriously.
Actually, that was mostly for narrative flow. I speculated you were dicking with Ren when writing, but the alternative interpretation made for a better story. Young newcomers being misguided jerks trying to attack well-rooted old jerks and failing makes for a more interesting story than a well-rooted old jerk taking a young newcomer jerk's taunts seriously and trying to thrash him for it. And the idea of the both of you not taking the thing seriously is just trivial and boring.

Ren - I'm not making any statement with the suggestion that sarcasm notation mimic your signature posting style. The comment was made merely because it was too perfect not to.

As an aside, would either of you be interested in buying a bridge?

Now that makes sense. So in the end we pretty much all pretended to take the other one seriously, to create a good story.

About being older and younger, actually Ren is a few years younger than I am, although he certainly has been around here longer. And that is all that counts anyway.

Were they? I think that was just you.

Any such attempt at making fun of me is futile considering the sheer awesomeness of my font.

Actually I think it is a bit pathetic. But then again, this is the internet, so who cares.

I really like the idea of making purple the official sarcastic color of the internet. From now on, I'll use purple in all my sarcastic comments, here and everywhere, except when I forget.

Oddly enough, I have had an anti sarcasm and purple campaign going for a while.

...I was younger there, if that's any excuse for... well, any of that.

Because memes are the epitome of the internet ... and possibly the epitome of mankind.

The Internet is hands down the most extravagant communication method ever developed allowing people to transmit vast amounts of any type of data almost anywhere in the world in a matter of milliseconds. As I type at least Petabytes of information is leaving millions of servers through the internet and arriving at millions of destinations. The shear amount of data available on the internet is incalculable ... and we use it to transmit fucking LOLcats. I personally believe the God of the Internet will someday smite us for our impudent use of his vast power. :P

Then again, maybe the LOLcats are unifying the world through their shear ability to wipe all forms of complex thought from our heads, make us think "Oooohh Kitty!" and smile as a result. :?

The obvious conclusion is that we need to give the "LOL cat" guy a nobel peace prize. (as well as the inventors of the internet)

Wow i need to stop thinking about the internet and how it will effect culture in the future ...

(I currently have this theory that the internet will unify the world someday if we don't destroy ourselves first  )
