If any of you have seen the open-source, short film "elephants dream", or have made a DVD before, maybe you can help. I recently downloaded the DVD format of Elephant's Dream, I tried to copy it to a disk. It was a CD-RW and I got an error message a small portion of the way through while writing it to the disk. The error message was kinda vague though.

What was the error? It seems to me that the problem might be disk space, though it's not a very long movie.

Good short film, though.

The disk has 700MB. Keep in mind that this is a DVD file and not just an AVI or Mpeg4 file.

It was just a guess. It should be easy to see if that's the problem by looking at size of the video file.

"There was an error in the writing process. The disk you attempted to write may no longer be usable."
Sorry if this is no help. :|

The video file is 553MB.

Maybe it's just the disc itself.

Huh, that's strange. It might also be your burner program.
