I didn't fictionalise any real person's death, I fictionalised a fictional person's death.
If being impolite is against the rules, I'm sure you're as guilty as I am. I just don't get upset about it.
The existence of satire isn't proportional to your awareness of said satire.

I was wondering why this thread was still in the top five active threads in Randomness.
I thought it strange that Ren would actively ask for sympathy when he previously posted his disdain for such motions on a previous thread, wisely saying that offline support is much better suited to such problems.
As for the crap that followed:
Everyone: "WALL OF TEXT"
Me: "Screw this, I'm going to kill some zombies."

This is probably the best solution in this case. I'm with ya!

1. I know. I asked the question because us other people had no way of knowing the person was fictional. How would you react, if you thought someone had really died?
2. If you're saying that I'm as impolite as you, I disagree. My point few posts back was that being impolite and trying to be part of a community are disparate goals; being upset does not come to it.
3. I didn't deny the existence, I claimed failure. The satire existed, but
failed to provoke a change; I stand by my claim.

I didn't think it would necessarily cause a change. I wanted to provoke discussion on the matter. Who succeeded?

You got your discussion, but I'm afraid quite a bit of this thread was spent on discussing the provoking and not the matter itself. Have I failed to keep you interested in discussing fictional deaths and internet communities?

These are semantics provided to skirt around the fact that I achieved what I was looking for, discussion on the subject. This has entertained my interest for some time, which is more than I can say for most of the other threads currently active.
