For some actual Gameplay:

RTS is not my kind of games.

Re: SUPER SERIOUS THREAD BY ME
It looks pretty, but in terms of gameplay it looks "meh."

It looks meh. Also it was made for a touch screen which means it probably is only geared for that experience.

I don't understand that, honestly.TheBigCheese wrote:It looks meh. Also it was made for a touch screen which means it probably is only geared for that experience.
Why would you gear a strategy game towards a touch screen experience? Hell, why would you gear any game not going to DS towards a touch screen experience?

Re: SUPER SERIOUS THREAD BY ME
Probably because they would get the novelty sales. It generates tons of "that's cool" responses with those who actually do have tablets. It covers up that otherwise it's a generally bland RTS.

I have a wacom tablet, but I don't use it much. Mostly for drawing practice. No way I'd buy a game based on having it.

Way to isolate potential consumers.TheBigCheese wrote:It looks meh. Also it was made for a touch screen which means it probably is only geared for that experience.

No, tablet as in the tablet is on the screen. As in you touch the screen. Not an external tablet for drawing.Blorx wrote:I have a wacom tablet, but I don't use it much. Mostly for drawing practice. No way I'd buy a game based on having it.

Re: SUPER SERIOUS THREAD BY ME
Ah, that kind of tablet. That's useless. Why would you design it for that kind of gameplay. Less than 5% of computer owners have got to have one of those.TheBigCheese wrote:No, tablet as in the tablet is on the screen. As in you touch the screen. Less than 5% of computers have them, but probably at least a good 30-40% would consider buying the game.Blorx wrote:Ah, that kind of tablet. That's useless. Why would you design it for that kind of gameplay. Less than 5% of computer owners have got to have one of those.
Appealing to a small audience sparks more response from that specific audience.

Re: SUPER SERIOUS THREAD BY ME
That's one hell of a small audience, though. That's like trying to make a game for NES today. How many people are honestly going to buy an NES game anymore?TheBigCheese wrote: Less than 5% of computers have them, but probably at least a good 30-40% would consider buying the game.

It took 3 more posts for you guys to get to the point where you are saying the same thing as I did.
In any case, I'm not getting it, I'm not getting touch screen computer, I'm not getting this game.
I'll just sit in a corner until Starcraft 2 comes out.
