Anticipation for NS2 engine test

Thoughts? Anyone worried it might be a let-down?
But really, I think that as long as I get to walk around and shoot stuff, even if it doesn't fight back, I think this'll keep me entertained for a long while....

It should be out by now...

I'm stoked! OG preorders got it free, so I don't feel there's much to lose on my end.

The thing is that there isn't much to look forward to just yet, so sit back, chill, and even if you don't like what you see just yet, you might later.

It's cool, but I get rather poor FPS on my PC [Intel Quadcore 6600, Geforce 8800 GT, 3 gigs of ram]. I have faith that it'll be working fine once its released though, I think optimizations are usually one of the last things to be done in game development.

I've been playing it for the last day and a half, and I'm having a blast. It's obvious it's nowhere near final, but it's incredible fun to just go in a shoot some dummy wood cut-outs.

I agree with the optimisation necessity. On high, my framerate drops to 30 in some places, and stays at a cool 75 in other places. It's not tooo bad though. I've seen worse.

I'd try it, but whenever I start it up, is says I have to have Steam running locally. I have no idea what this means.
