i gotta puppy!
Re: i gotta puppy!
I imagine that dog is friendly and nice in person.
But as a picture I can't believe those eyes are real.

The dog's name is Adel, and she's not wearing an eyeliner
we have very many dogs with blue eyes in Alaska, i guess because of all the huskies and dog racing. this particular species was adopted from the pound at 8 months old. The setting is the Eklutna lake - i have to admit, one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen. http://www.google.com/images?q=eklutna% ... =en&tab=wi
the dog was very happy to be able to roll in dirt there
it grew up a pretty weird dog...
never shuts up - a minus; likes to sing (a plus?); doesn't like meat; steals bread (a minus, definitely); picks on other dogs (not good); friendly with cats (weird); afraid of water
nature is not without sense of humor

Wait, so it's a lake... sometimes? Or is it permanently dried up?

Freshbite, it's a reservoir of fresh water
the city uses it up towards the end of winter, and the lake's level drops by 20 to 30 feet if i remember correctly; there's still plenty of water for fish, etc. and then when the snow melts during spring-summer - the lake fills up again; it's a huge lake

That's impressive. So the bottom of the lake is in different heights so even if one part is dried out the other is still filled with water?

I like playing it risky. But moscowconnections seemed like a cool person, so I thought that he/she wouldn't mind a cheap joke, nor be offended by it.

Yeah, you're a real dare-devil.

I admit that "playing it risky" were not the proper words of choice.

Re: i gotta puppy!
it's all good. everyone has a different opinion about dog having bright blue eyes, but in all cases these eyes leave a strong impression
here in Alaska, we have all kinds of dog mixes that have blue eyes. many huskies and mixes have one brown and one blue eye - imagine that. Blue eyes look most impressive when a dog is black - makes eyes "glow"
in prior centuries some people believed that dogs with blue eyes can see far away very well; while those who have brown eyes have better vision at shorter distances; i guess, following same logic, the best dog to have is with one blue/one brown eye; no science behind this.
in any case, having a dog with blue eyes is kinda cool; some people melt when it looks at them; others - burst into flames
now imagine her showing her teeth and looking right into your soul

I would literally drop all of my current possessions, turn around and run for my life. (while bursting into flames... )
But I seriously think she's a nice dog and I wish her the very best, and to you aswell.
