I feel as if I've been used like a condom, psychologically ...

There seems to be the "search for approval" side and the "do everything in spite" side

I chose the spite side and i didn't do anything it told me to do ... but then it says "Do NOT fail."

and I found myself running into the spike before I thought twice about it ... then afterward I thought "You BASTARD! you used reverse psychology!" lol

Mostly atmosphere... sure the underlying allegory is nice and all, but overall, the game isn't really that amazing.

The gameplay was monotonous and lacked any formal challenge (neither emotional nor physical), and I believe the author did it merely as a poser piece. It is by no means in the league of Braid (as it has been compared to it), or even mario for that matter. It's worth a playthrough, but not much more.

I may seem pessimistic about this, but due to the massive rise in "artistic" games (I remain neutral on the term, and do not use it personally) such as this, merely being in the genre does not cut it anymore, the game now has to have some fundamental draw to it, which frankly, "Loved" does not.

It only has a single trick, but at least the trick is rather unique in flash platformer games. However, it could've been written better. Some of the texts you saw were almost disturbing at times.

Also, pongient == "poignant"?

Don't worry about that. The very first google result for pongient happens to be http://www.chacha.com/question/what-does-pongient-mean...

Huh. Expectations exceeded.

I quickly found myself disobeying at every opportunity.

It's kinda pretentious though.

I tried it out on Armor Games. Had me confused, and I felt a bit insulted, but I never took the time to get to the end.

On a side-note, there are a few times you can't disobey or it'll send you back.

EDIT: Oh wait, I did play through it. I liked it, but I felt insulted a bit still.

I only saw one, at the end.

Pretentious ... that describes what I was thinking when I got done

It seems like it was forced art trying to seem like it has some deep meaning when its just (sort of) utilizing some basic psychology

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we were taking a psych survey test in disguise ...

Piss subject off ... see if he follows orders or searches for acceptance ...

(also it seems that the options at the beginning are just meant to piss off the player and put them in a bad mood ...)

One thing I found interesting is that, even in rebellion, everyone who plays this game is complying.

For one thing, you're only ever going right. There's nothing left, sure, but the game is still expecting you do go that way. You're still following orders.

Plus, people have said there are only two paths, complete obedience or complete rebellion, but that's not true. You can do whatever you want. You can obey not to fall into a spike pit, and then disobey to take the difficult path. You don't have to adhere to the two paths that the game has laid out.

If that angle had been explored, this game would be a lot better.

As it is, it's still good, but it could've been great.

That was... interesting. I chose to obey. All of it. Probably the wrong choice, but then again it helped me so...? As for the initial questions pissing you off thing, in mine it asked me if I am a boy or a girl again in the end. I said girl, since that's what it told me in the beginning, and I have a feeling that made a big difference. After that it said it was so happy that I am his and blah blah and that I am now a woman. Then I was ingame again and I walked up to what looked like a coin, and the game ended.

Symbolism? Now I think that it is supposed to represent money but that may have just been my subconscious. After the woman thing I thought of perhaps a parent/child relationship. Through the actual game though I thought it was representing an abusive relationship, but hell if I know anymore. Everyone else seems to have taken the spite path. I would say that I should try and go back and walk a fine line down the middle, but seeing as you guys said that some of them required you to do in order to continue, it seems that would be impossible.

Interesting experience though.

He is very kind, my Master.
To be able to see the world for what it truly is, I must obey my Masters will.
Disobedience leads into surrealism.
If I am disobedient, the world will swallow me in illusion built from lies.

I found my Masters secret.

So my question is why did things get colorful the more you disobeyed the master?

Our Master is trying to show us the true world.
To disobey is to be led into illusion.
