I've heard from other sources that Red River is quite good, do you recommend it?

From what I played of Operation Flashpoint, it's a horrid game that's never any fun and I stopped trying after about an hour.

Dragon Rising was pretty bad and rather boring, but Red River is pretty fun (f you like tactical military shooters). It isn't perfect, the allied AI is rather moronic and you have to babysit them while the enemy AI isn't much better they can at least flank you successfully and work together. I've been having fun playing it with 3 of my other buds online and if you play with 4 players you don't have to deal with the allied AI at all, it fixes some of the problems the game has. The main complaint I have so far is that its too linear compared to the original. Dragon Rising let you go anywhere on the island, but was rather dumb on telling you WHERE to go and when. Red River is great at telling you where to go and when, but has this nasty habit of killing you automatically if you get too far away from the team leader or out of the objective area. Not that the area is small, but it tends to force you to use certain tactics instead of making up your own.
