More indies go open source?! o_O

Post by Blorx » Sat Jul 10, 2010 7:44 pm

Well...sort of. This time around, it's going to cost some cash, but coming from the company it's from, it's almost expected.

Anyways, I saw it on the LOVE forums, and it seems that Introversion has, for 30 British Pounds, put up a package for the source code for both Darwinia and Multiwinia.

Here's the post on Introversion's forums.

...I know it's more of "opened up to a license option", rather than open-sourced, but I figured I'd put it out there, nonetheless.

You know what I love about them?

They make some of the simplest games (In terms of development), but they polish them to a mirror shine, and charge a decent rate, which is why they're so darned successful. Rare thing these days... most indie companies want to cash in at the first available time.
