Lagoa Multiphysics Engine, seriously impressive

Post by zip » Tue Jul 20, 2010 10:53 pm

I never post here anymore, but I had to come and show you all this link because I think that you're all the kind of people who will appreciate it :)
We all played around with the soft-body physics demo that david put out a few years ago, right? Well, if you enjoyed that then I feel this will appeal to you ^_^

Wow.

While obviously not perfect yet, I can easily say that I'm completely blown away. I wonder how long until physics like this can be used in-game. Even realistic footprints in the sand are an appreciated touch-up, when you think about it. :D

On a side-note, CCP's cloth rendering seems nowhere near as impressive as it did back when they revealed it now that I've seen this.

You guys realise this is not a real-time engine, right?

It is quite impressive, but still not the best...
