I see, do you have any examples of when you play it?
Would be cool to hear.

But of course!
Here's some glissandi I did for a project a while back, nothing exciting, but shows the altered tuning I use.

Then there was this western I demoed for (but didn't get) featuring a Chinese immigrant, so I was combining sorta east and west instruments. It's playing more melodically at the beginning, then it becomes the driving percussion at the end.

It was actually the main instrument I used for the Red Dawn Lugaru mod (which has probably died by now...) - all the pulsing, electronic sounds, and most of the percussion are from it.

And that track ultimately led to the main theme of a horror film I scored this summer. All the slow pulsing sounds, plus a lot of the percussive elements, and even the distorted sounds are coming from the gu zheng:

Wow, you have a completely different sound to it. Dare I say more awesome than hers?
I could hear the different sounds made in the horror track, and it really draws out the mystique. It sounds like something that would fit in a Japanese horror game.
Nicely done on all of the tracks, I'm glad you're on the Wolfire team.

A Japanese horror game would be a lot of fun to do... next time someone needs music for one, you should pass them my way
I'm glad you like the sound I've been making with it... clearly not the "traditional" way of playing... And always glad to be helping out the Wolfire crew! They are awesome!

Yea ... mines a 70 something telestar acoustic ...
Its kinda like this, except somewhat newer:
I thought it sounded great when i played it ... then i went to a pawn shop to play other guitars and found that it sounds like shit in comparison

...
They're both made in japan around the same time ... I suspect telestar copied takamine's characteristics

Snow is lame, your view looks much better than mine Anton.

There's muuuch more snow now as well, like 2-3dm.
On the second last picture it looks like you have a dead cat as a roommate.
But it's resurrected on the last one.. So that's fine.
BTW, looking at that Fu Hok of yours.. Someone should make a Ninja Anton Fighting mod for OG!

2-3dm? Here in Skövde it's as much as 7dm to a Meter.

dm? ... decimeter? That's a unit of measurement I have rarely seen or used before

... people usually skip from meters straight to centimeters in the U.S.
one meter is basically the highest I've ever seen for snow where I live ... 32+ Celsius in the summer below -18 in the winter ... fucking Nebraska ...

Americans tend to use feet or inches, a measuring system that I have no idea why it has become as common as it is.
I think this image says it all:

to be fair Americans typically don't use the yards to a mile thing, more often they use the 5280 feet, that being said our entire system based off of twelve is pretty strange and illogical, no reason to hate though for that, we give plenty of other reasons to hate us.

I agree, like our consumerism, capitalism, militarism. FUCKING AMERICANS WITH THEIR MEASURING SYSTEM. Gods dammit.

I think the english system is a joke in america ... no one really wants to use it, but its being used out of habit
Whenever I have to work out engineering problems, I will often convert all the english standard units to metric before starting the problem so as to avoid the standard unit conversions. Then when im done i will convert them back ... it actually save some time in alot of cases
Conversion for more abstract units like power or some sort of special term is a pain in the ass
I honestly will get upset when I have to use english standard wrenches when im working on something
